Pho Saigon offers the absolute best pho in the entire Redding area. The broth is unbelievable, and amazingly authentic, every single time. I don't know officially, but from as many times as my husband and I have come in to eat, or get take out, it seems to be run by a very sweet husband / wife duo. The wife has always been the only front of house caretaker, and also kindly bags up any leftovers customers would like to take home by taking them in the kitchen, as is tradition in these cultures.
I have read many reviewers reporting issue with the service during busy hours. I really wish it was standard for every individual to work in the service industry for 2yrs minimum, so we all would understand the anxiety and pressure that comes along with holding down an entire restaurant on your own.
Long story short, I have always been impressed by Pho Saigon. Simply amazing food!!

My husband and I came in here the other day cause it was my birthday and I really wanted pho. I remembered from a past time that the pho here was really good, and again it was. I have no complaints about the food itself. But when we walked in the woman that worked there (only employee I initially saw) seemed frazzled. We guessed they were short staffed and let it slide. We got really slow, haphazard service but made no complaints still. However im not going to lie that it left a sour taste in my mouth to not even get a normal level of service. However the real issue came at the end. I had a decent amount of pho left over (dealing with some health issues) so I wanted to save it. We asked for a to-go container and that took forever and a day as well. Then instead of giving us the container to fill ourselves she took my bowl in the back. I just assumed they didnt want a customer making a mess. No big deal. Finally got my to-go container (a disposable coffee cup) and we left. Now I still had a decent amount of stuff in my bowl, like I said, even some of the steak and tripe as well as the obvious noodles and broth. When I later opened it up for leftovers, there was no meat. It was just noodles and broth. Call me entitled if you want but I was expecting to get the food I paid for. I wouldn't have cared if she had left out some noodles or broth to make it fit, but to leave out the not insignificant amount of meat? I feel honestly ripped off, especially when combined with the poor service that day. (And no I don't care that it happened to be my birthday cause they didnt know.) So I honestly don't know if id recommend a place that steals and has such poor service, even for good food.

The food is good. Super fresh with deep flavors.
It’s a super chill, relaxed location.
Used to be the OG Serendipity.
Their glass noodles are simply the best.

Absolutely the best, most flavorful, authentic pho in Redding by a big margin. It needs much more attention, but the soup is DELICIOUS

After dining here both my husband and I experienced being bloated and craving for water. We recognize some places like to MSG up their broth and I’m afraid that’s what we experienced. The broth was really sweet, sweeter than most Vietnamese pho broth we have had. The sizes were limited to just “Large and XL” even when we asked for small. Also to note, when we walked in the restaurant was humid, hot and completely empty. We were the only ones dining in. We saw there were only two pieces of napkin but later on the lady came to refill it for us. Once refilled was like 2 napkins but then she saw we needed more so she came back another time to give us more napkins. This was nice but it did bother us that there were no napkins readily available at a dining table. Then I read in these reviews about 3 years ago someone else made similar observations. It was an experience and I won’t say it was negative or positive. Just that I wished the food we eaten didn’t make us feel so horribly bloated. Also it was hot during this evening and we noticed fans in the restaurants not being used. It would have been nice to have that fan on given how hot the space was and then eating a bowl of pho. Also I got the chicken and shrimp pho and there was 2 pieces of shrimp. Evening was just ruined by how the food made us feel and we are worried now the broth is nothing but MSG.

The food was delicious and plentiful. If you’re looking for true Vietnamese food then this is the place… it may be a dive but you won’t regret it.

Pho Saigon delivers in every sense. I ordered the chicken vermicelli, and it was absolutely delicious, fresh ingredients, perfectly grilled chicken, and noodles that soaked up all the goodness.
What made the experience even better was the warm, welcoming service. A very sweet woman guided me through the menu and pointed out a few popular items, making me feel right at home. The food arrived quickly, and the portions were generous without going overboard.
The dining room was clean, simple, and functional, no frills, just a comfortable spot to enjoy a great meal.
Highly recommend if you’re in the area and looking for authentic, tasty Vietnamese cuisine served with genuine hospitality.

I droved up from Sacramento and visiting McCloud Fall.We were hungry for some 🍜,So we google and found this spot small but comfy.I ordered the usual pho Dac biet and no dissapoint broth is rich and meat is plentiful.I couldn’t eat it all!!The only thing short from a 5 star is if they have a choice of fresh noodles.!!

It was closed. Looked closed down from parking. No open signs
Very confused as I see recent reviews. I've come here twice now during supposed business hours. Both times the restaurant appears to be closed.
