Absolutely the best, most flavorful, authentic pho in Redding by a big margin. It needs much more attention, but the soup is DELICIOUS

After dining here both my husband and I experienced being bloated and craving for water. We recognize some places like to MSG up their broth and I’m afraid that’s what we experienced. The broth was really sweet, sweeter than most Vietnamese pho broth we have had. The sizes were limited to just “Large and XL” even when we asked for small. Also to note, when we walked in the restaurant was humid, hot and completely empty. We were the only ones dining in. We saw there were only two pieces of napkin but later on the lady came to refill it for us. Once refilled was like 2 napkins but then she saw we needed more so she came back another time to give us more napkins. This was nice but it did bother us that there were no napkins readily available at a dining table. Then I read in these reviews about 3 years ago someone else made similar observations. It was an experience and I won’t say it was negative or positive. Just that I wished the food we eaten didn’t make us feel so horribly bloated. Also it was hot during this evening and we noticed fans in the restaurants not being used. It would have been nice to have that fan on given how hot the space was and then eating a bowl of pho. Also I got the chicken and shrimp pho and there was 2 pieces of shrimp. Evening was just ruined by how the food made us feel and we are worried now the broth is nothing but MSG.

The food was delicious and plentiful. If you’re looking for true Vietnamese food then this is the place… it may be a dive but you won’t regret it.

Not pretentious or fancy but good Vietnamese food.

Pho Saigon delivers in every sense. I ordered the chicken vermicelli, and it was absolutely delicious, fresh ingredients, perfectly grilled chicken, and noodles that soaked up all the goodness.

What made the experience even better was the warm, welcoming service. A very sweet woman guided me through the menu and pointed out a few popular items, making me feel right at home. The food arrived quickly, and the portions were generous without going overboard.

The dining room was clean, simple, and functional, no frills, just a comfortable spot to enjoy a great meal.

Highly recommend if you’re in the area and looking for authentic, tasty Vietnamese cuisine served with genuine hospitality.

I droved up from Sacramento and visiting McCloud Fall.We were hungry for some 🍜,So we google and found this spot small but comfy.I ordered the usual pho Dac biet and no dissapoint broth is rich and meat is plentiful.I couldn’t eat it all!!The only thing short from a 5 star is if they have a choice of fresh noodles.!!

Very confused as I see recent reviews. I've come here twice now during supposed business hours. Both times the restaurant appears to be closed.

We are Asian so maybe our expectations are a bit higher but the pho.....we won't even call the noodles that we ate is pho.
We ordered #3 and wonton noodles soup and a fried chicken wings. All of the food were terrible. The pho soup tastes sour and weird and definitely NOT the standard pho soup. The fried chicken wings $17.99......SO SO expensive and they also taste awful 😞 the fried part is wet and the chicken wings are tasteless.
We went there just because we thought pho is a safe dish and usually nothing will go wrong but EVERYTHING was wrong! The food is expensive and taste awful and the service was poor. I regretted going there with my family and kids so much and I hope noone will go there again for a pho.

I stopped in to try Pho, but ended up trying the Bun Bo Hue. I was very satisfied with the taste and quality of the broth. You can smell and taste the lemongrass. The noodles were not the thicker rice noodles that are normally used for bun bo hue, but still very good. Will have to go back and try to the Pho.

came here while getting my tires changed. hole in the wall, family-ran restaurant. the prices aren't crazy and the food is good. ample sized servings too. the owner Nancy is nice. she was attentive as soon as I walked in. I kept seeing reviews that she was rude but I think she doesn't speak much English so her sentences are shorter. anyway. will definitely be dining here again. I told her I'd order to go food and she said to get it in at a decent time so I wouldn't be waiting too long if there was a rush. very thoughtful.

Food is decent but the service is poor. First time my partner and I came in, my partner ordered a dish, and was told to order something else because it takes too long to cook. Second time we came back we came with family. We were the only customers and we asked to sat at a 6 seat table for more space. Why not, we’re the only patrons. Was told our table is for 6 people and we only have 4 and should sat at a smaller table. Do not recommend this place. Sad part is the pho is the best I’ve had in Redding so far.

Looking at the ratings of this place, I’m not too sure what people are used to with a mom and pop Vietnamese restaurant, but I just had one of the best bowls of pho that I’ve had in a long time. Nothing fancy but very clean and the Mom was super nice and kept our waters full and the dad came out and made sure that we were enjoying our soups. I was joking around laughing, it was a great experience and most importantly, our food was incredible. It’s not a five star atmosphere that people are used to, but I’m giving it five so that I can help boost the rating of this place because we almost overlooked it to go to a higher rated place. Redding, you have a gem here!!!!
