Regular here. Never been here for lunch but the bartender was more interested in telling people of her new experience with the new Redding Market Place then tending. I spent several minutes trying to get her attention for another roll, beer. My spider roll was cold and tasted like old oil. Hand roll was dry. Spicey mayo was runny as water. Definitely NOT like the night crew.

Ben is absolutely amazing! He is a host but he served me and my friends the entire night. He was fast and funny. I asked for his manager and told her he NEEDS a raise and a PROMOTION!! Definitely made our experience memorable and so grateful for such good customer service in Redding.

The food is top notch! Everything we had was excellent. We had oysters, sushi, the sushi was amazingly fresh, we had chicken wings that were cooked and seasoned to perfection, the quail egg shot was delicious, and we has tuna poke bowl that was very fresh and tasty. Hands down a great experience. We will be going back soon. Good for the whole family or a date night.

40 minute wait for the food to hit the table. We ordered oysters and we were told that they were out, then tried to order the mussel and was told again that they were out. We ordered the Pepper Fin. But then we still were charged for the oysters. Unfortunately one of our rolls went to the wrong table our waitress brought it back to the chef and said that the table didn’t touch it or eat it then gesture to the top of the roll. Luckily the chef said no and through the roll away. Thank goodness for him! Waitress wasn’t very personable she seemed flustered and distracted and messed up our ticket. This was a first impression and not a good one, we will not be returning.
Here’s the thing…I wanted to communicate with a manager/owner, but haven’t found a way. We have loved the atmosphere and vibe. Two recent visits. LOVE that there are options for non-fish eaters. But, please rehydrate your salad greens. It is absolutely unappealing for a salad (beef filet) to come with dry greens. For a $24 salad, salad greens should be fresh. Otherwise, your sushi is 100% on point.

Honestly, the foods were better than expected. We ordered a poke, a pasta, and two rolls which were RAW and TRAINWRACHER? with two Namnam draft beers. It was covered four of us and it was pretty good. It was all clear!
