Simple Crust Bakery is a must see at the Redding Farmers Market. Jess is an enthusiastic and talented baker - her work speaks for itself. I've tried almost every type of sourdough loaf she makes, and they are all divine. Her cookies are my favorite around. I have yet to try one of her raved about cinnamon rolls, but it's next on my list. Go check out your new favorite local bakery.

Chocolate chip cookies- good not great. Lots of chocolate chips and not quite enough cookie dough/ cookie flavor. Very good, but we both prefer more cookie in a chocolate chip cookie.
Chocolate chip banana bread- good not great. I wouldn't need to get it again, especially at $5 for the size piece you get.
Cinnamon roll- excellent cinnamon roll. Perfect filling for both of us. Whitney would prefer thinner layers and more of them and I would prefer a healthy dose of cream cheese frosting, but this was a great cinnamon roll. I'd definitely get another.

SCB is run by a really sweet husband and wife team. I appreciated their great customer service and use of organic flours. The Olive and Thyme bread was soft, fresh, and perfect. I found them at the Redding Farmer’s Market at City Hall on Saturday mornings.

I absolutely love their bread! It's always so fresh and packed with amazing flavor. Every Saturday, my boyfriend and I pick up a few loaves at the Farmers Market. Their cinnamon rolls and chocolate chip cookies are delicious, but my favorites are the sun-dried tomato and country white breads. They recently started selling baguettes, and they're incredible. In my opinion, they have the best sourdough around!

I always like to try every new thing Jess comes up with, So even though I’m not a banana bread fan, I thought I would give hers a try. The Einhorn wheat and chocolate chips transformed typical leftover banana bread into something totally new and much better. For me, the chocolate gave it hint of coffee. 33 seconds at half power in the microwave, gave it a perfect just baked flavor and aroma.

The sweetest young couple! The bread is baked with the utmost care and everything is delicious. She offers sweet treats, always cinnamon rolls and chocolate chip cookies, and several varieties of sourdough bread using different and unique flours. Semolina, Einkorn, Multigrain, County White and usually another one or two specialities. Today she offered a S’mores loaf and Sundried tomatoes with Rosemary. Everything I have tried has been excellent!! You will not be disappointed. Visit her weekly at the Redding Farmers Market on Saturday mornings!!
