I had the idea of ordering a cake for my fiancée’s birthday designed after one of their favorite dresses, which happens to have a pretty intricate design. I was nervous to see the result but I placed my trust in Sublime’s team and my expectations were FAR surpassed. I am absolutely floored at the amount of detail they were able to put into this cake. My jaw dropped when they walked it out.
Throughout the process, the person who took my order in person and Wiley via email were exceptionally thorough in their communication and patient when I had questions or was being nitpicky. My partner loved it, it was a total surprise to them, and it was fun to compare the dress to the cake and see how exact the design is. It’s hard to see in photos, but there is a gold luster on the cake just like the metallic parts of the dress. The cake also tastes amazing and has the perfect texture, and the two delicious fillings I requested!! Highly, highly recommend if you have a cake idea that just needs to be perfect for someone you love.

Us Redding folks are very lucky to have an awesome place such as Sublime. The staff and owner is always so welcoming and treats you like family. Their seasonal cakes are always my favorite and I try and grab one for every holiday if possible! This year’s Halloween party cake was phenomenal!! It was hard to decide on which one to go with but I fell in love with the jack-o’-lantern one. It was a spice cake with a cinnamon cream cheese filling, buttercream frosting and chocolate ganache stem was HEAVEN. Thank you Sublime!
I had a great experience working with Wiley and his team at Sublime Cake Design! My cake couldn’t have turned out any better. I ordered it and had it picked up by friends and driven up to Mt. Shasta for my wedding. The cake was well built and there were no issues with it falling apart on the drive up the mountain. It was absolutely stunning and delicious. My husband and I loved it and our guests did too! Thank you Sublime Cake!

It was such a treat to visit the shop and try some of the most moist little cupcakes I've had. They are all good. We had 4 offerings: Chocolate peanut butter, pink donut, peaches and cream, and Boston cream. The peach didn't have much of a peach flavor at all, but it was moist and sweet. The pink donut was just a basic cupcake with frosting and sprinkles. It was good. The Boston Cream was the only one that tasted worth the $4.
They are all very tender and moist, but lacking in the punch of flavor I was expecting.

I wanted a very special cake for my adult daughter's birthday. I had read great reviews and learned the owner had won 2 cake challenges on Food Network. Everyone in the shop is really friendly. Lauren waited on me. She asks a lot of questions to find out exactly what you want. And she hit this one out of the park! A one of a kind chocolate cake that my daughter loved. Lauren, you are simply great!
