We went to celebrate my birthday & wanted a quiet table outside...which they gave us. It was a beautiful evening & we went early so we could enjoy the quiet. Other than a family who thought it was just fine to let their toddlers run back & forth past our table--it was lovely. This was not the restaurants fault! We tried the dirty looks--but they didn't get the hint. My husband got up & headed their way (just to talk) and they finally controlled their children. Why people think it's OK to let them run & interrupt other peoples meals is beyond me! BUT--we did have a wonderful meal & excellent service! Our server was MJ & she was darling! Quite attentive--but not overbearing! We really enjoyed her! The food was yummy! Don't miss trying the scallops on the appetizer menu! Next time we may just get several orders of those! Very creative & delicious! We travel for business & have dined at View 202 often. It had started to go downhill...but we are so glad we went back to try it again. We will definitely will go back next time we are in Redding!

We had a wonderful evening with amazing food! Pete was our waiter, and he was very attentive, providing great tableside service. We were a party of six, and everyone loved their dinner choice. If you're looking for a great dinner, I recommend View 202.

Ribeye steak was tasty but way overpriced for the cut and the meat was grisly. Small portions for the price. For the price a salad or soup should have been part of the meal. Dessert was very good.

Upset, Frustrated, and Disappointed My son and now my daughter in law booked their Rehearsal Dinner here. They booked this months in advance. They were not given a menu to choose from until 2 weeks before the event. (Stating that is was based on their Fall Menu) They also increased the price per plate by 33% without notification. It went from $65 per plate to $95! We asked several times for them to turn on the chandelier. ??? This was a family event with children under the age of 5. This was to be a family celebration. We were finally served our main course at...8:45! When finally served it was an ok meal. I've had better elsewhere for much less money. This was a very important day for my family and we were greatly disappointed. reservations for 6:30, we were served Hor d'oeuvres at 7:45. We had ONE waitperson for 30+ people. Myself, my immediate family as well as most of the Groomsmen all have worked in food service. This was shocking. The children and their parents were taxed. Not a good experience.

I was going to go here for my birthday with my girlfriends. One of my friends went online a couple days before to make a reservation for 9:30 on Saturday night. We got off at 8:45 and the webpage said they were open till 11. My friend that made the reservation received a call about 6:30 telling her that they just changed the schedule and close at 10. She was told that a manager would contact her. It is Tuesday now and she hasn't received a call. I had already bought gift cards from Costco that I can't return. If they would have called earlier in the day, we could have made better plans to go somewhere else and saved the money on the gift cards.
Superb job supporting my family gathering for 25 w/4 high chairs. No one lived in Redding so I called the restaurant. Manager Joe was SUPERB throughout the process and followed up on everything he committed to. Between the time I signed the contract and the dinner, the restaurant did a seasonal update to the menu. Joe sent it to me as promised. We had two servers as promised. Miguel and Acacia were AWESOME and handled it all from wine to bar drinks to appetizers to 25 people ordering off the menu! Food was excellent btw. We were not rushed and the far flung family was able to reconnect. Highly recommend these guys for larger gatherings.

No one was at the kiosk to great/seat us.. we got there at the lunch hour. It wasn't too busy. Our server offered refills on our drinks... but did not bring them. Other than that, all was well!

We waited about 5 minutes for someone to even come up front to seat us. We had a reservation & had to wait another 5 minutes or so for our table to be ready. We proceeded to order once we were seated. We almost all ordered burgers. The server came back about 10 minutes later to tell us all the hamburgers had sold out. We all ordered something different. The food didn’t come out till about 45 minutes later. The food was pretty awful. It was flavorless & warm not hot. They gave us all free desserts. Overall it was a bad experience & the food is super pricey for what you get. Wouldn’t recommend.
