Provided great engaging service by Rachel. Most of us enjoyed our meals. We did send back one pizza that had undercooked dough but they replaced it with a burger at no charge. So great effort to make it right. Braised short rib and pasta were really good. Also great charcuterie board. Will return soon!
Was not worth it. Atmosphere looks nice and all. Got the black truffle ribeye steak and it isnt even good and there's nothing special about it, half of the veggies that came on the plate is a little burnt. Honestly, I make better steak at home. The service was ok. There's like 4 people who constantly us ask how everything goes but we requested more bread and never got it lol.
Loved our brunch out on the patio! Beautiful views! The perfect way to spend a Sunday after church!
Food and service were great. Had the scallops and halibut which were both fantastic. We'll definitely be back.
The server had too many tables. It wasn't the servers fault that the service was so bad. The food was very good but the awful service made us decide never to go back
Delicious food, scallops are the best I've ever had, the fire shrimp đ€ are Devin, the manager, Joe is wonderful, the Truffle Steak was awesome đ. Highly recommend.

I still dream about the Prime Rib Sandwich and I've honestly texted friends about how good the Whiskey Sours were at the bar.
Our waitress Rachel was VERY nice and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was very good as well. We had a wide range of the menu and everything was good.
Excellent steak. Scallops were small ones when I expected large size scallops. Sauce not needed in My opinion. Otherwise all good. We enjoyed our meal !

Love the patio here. Great prices during happy hour. Food is good but not amazing. Service could be better. Place was empty and we sat with empty drinks for quite sometime. We were not checked on to see if we needed anything.
Brandon made our lunch experience great. The awesome river views was somewhat offset by cobwebs inside the dining area. Somebody sell them a ladder and a broom. My Cuban was good but if they're gonna use focaccia bread, they need to grill or press the sandwich.
Booked a Saturday party of 10 people for a birthday celebration for my husband who is very ill, but he really wanted to enjoy the patio and view of the river with his family. The staff was very attentive especially to my husband's needs. Our main server was Peter who was efficient, personal and was very accommodating meeting all my family member requests and needs. He made the event very enjoyable and I felt comfortable with every suggestion he made and his excellent service throughout the meal and his special touches to make us feel so welcomed. It was going to be very warm on the day of celebration, and it was important that the patio would be comfortable with actual working water misters and proper shade, and I was assured the patio would be cool during the time I made the reservation. Itâs a shame that the restaurant that wants to appear âupper scaleâ does not have anything working properly (water misters were barley working) to make their patrons comfortable on the patio which is a big reason our family attends the brunches at this establishment. Winter time is not much better on the patio because again it is not well thought out with strategic areas with fire pits or fire torches etc., to keep ALL the patrons on the patio comfortable. Redding is known for the high heat in the summer and itâs such a simple fix to keep the patrons cool while dining outside. So disappointing. Obviously the View 202 has gone through many different chefs and itâs a shame because it has such a beautiful settingâŠ.itâs a hit and miss every time we dine there when it comes to the items on the menu. I also called the resturant directly for three days during various times throughout the day into late afternoon and no one ever answered the phone, and when I left numerous voice messages to return my call, I never receive a call back. Thats just unacceptable and again makes me uncomfortable to make future reservations at this time. Itâs again obvious the resturant has minimum staff running the resturant. They do their very best, but when I bring âout of townersâ to dinner at the View, I find itâs embarrassing at times because sometimes the main courses are just not eatable. Again itâs a hit and miss. Consistency is the key and the View just doesnât have it for whatever reason for a very long time and I was always hoping it would improve. Hopefully new owners will be able to change that and patrons can be assured they will be comfortable with the outside dining area, and order their favorite meals that will stay on the menu and earn the reputation it so much deserves.
At view 202 you can enjoy a delicious dinner and watch the sunset. đ it's a beautiful place and the dishes are delicious. I had the Cherry Salmon with vegetables and loved it. The service and presentation was also amazing.
Disappointed in our visit to view 202. I had made a reservation for 5:15pm. When we arrived at that time, our table was not set up and it took 15 minutes to do that. Once we were seated, no one ever came to greet us. My husband had to go inside to ask if we had a server. We waited for 15-20 minutes before a server helped us. Our food was mediocre. I don't think we will be back for a while. We had previously been visited view 202 earlier this month and had received excellent service and the food was great. Not sure what happened between then and now.
