We ordered takeout. The food was really tasty and we had lots of leftovers for next day. Family favorite was the Baked Rigatoni --many thanks to take out person Sharron for the suggestions & friendly attitude.

This is some of the most mediocre Italian food I’ve ever had. The lasagna was similar to that of Stouffer’s, and the noodles were soggy due to being overcooked. The garlic bread was almost $20 and they used the jar garlic instead of fresh garlic.

Our server, Cynthia, was pleasantly attentive! The food is always great! We celebrated my son’s birthday here. We’ll come back soon.

Food sucked. We ordered one of those pizzas with veggies and some white cheese... and a pasta, meatball. Nothing was great. It was just eatable. The waitress was great. Their home bread with vinegar was the best thing. The atmosphere was just weird to me. It felt kind of dirty. Just stuff everywhere. But it could just me I don't know how to appreciate it all.

We got there (had a reservation) we still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. Then we are shown to our table which was where the access area is and it's freezing cold because the doors keep opening and when we asked for the heaters to be turned on the reply was we don't do that until later. They had no hot tea which they advertised on their menu (I needed it to try to get warm), the server wouldn't get back to us, and seemed to not be worried about us at all.

I came to Buca di Beppo today with my husband to celebrate my birthday, and while the experience had its moments, there were a few issues that left us disappointed. Our waiter, Christopher, was nice but could have been more specific when offering food. He asked if we wanted breadsticks and a salad (in addition to the food we ordered), and we agreed, assuming they were complimentary or included with our meals. Unfortunately, they weren't, and we were charged $20 each—an unexpected $40 addition to our bill that could've been avoided if he had clarified upfront. To make matters worse, we discovered a long black hair in the salad toward the end of our meal. It was disgusting, and we didn't want to take the leftovers home. Being overcharged and dealing with that kind of hygiene issue has left us hesitant to return. We're now considering making the drive to the Buca di Beppo at Universal City Walk instead.

I'm not even sure where to begin...My husband and I were visiting from NJ and decided to take the family out for Christmas dinner as our daughter's house is undergoing a renovation. Our grandkids are 3 and 7, so family style Italian made sense and Buca di Beppo was highly rated. The service was terrible only second to the food, which was over garlicked and basically just bowls of pasta with little else. After an excruciating wait, the waitress plops our order on the table and runs away. We ordered lasagna and were not warned that the plate was extremely hot. The lasagna was dropped on the table in front of the 3-year-old. My husband went to move it and was severely burned (blisters immediately formed on both hands and he was in extraordinary amount of pain). He cooks regularly and is used to handling hot things, but he said that this was like holding hot coals. It upset the entire evening. He was in pain; the kids were upset and neither the server nor the manager were anywhere to be found. I approached the manager (Antonius Vandermosust) to let him know what happened and he looked at me and giggled. When I asked him for the owner's information, he gave me a stupid answer that ownership has recently changed and that he didn't know the new owner's information. REALLY??? He could tell by the look on my face that I was deadly serious, and his tone changed. He started to apologize and then the waitress saw me speaking with him and joined in the apology. They offered to discount the food, but that was hardly the point. I was most upset about the fact that my granddaughter could have been severely injured and that my husband was. Having dinner out on Christmas is not ideal. I anticipated the service to be slow and the food perhaps not to be 100% delicious. I get it. BUT, what we experienced was beyond unacceptable and completely irresponsible. The manager's reaction was abhorrible and showed his level of incompetence in dealing with the public.
