Great servers in the bar and restaurant area. They made the evening. Food as usual was mediocre. But the view is what brings us back.

prime rib was over cooked and dry. The server told us for the past week, all the prime rib has been medium or medium well and customers were sending back. The salad did not taste fresh.

The Chart House did an outstanding job overall for our 80th birthday celebration for our mom. We did not rent an event space or have a special menu; I simply made a reservation on Open Table which I followed up with a couple of calls to the restaurant. We had 15 people total at a long table in a part of the main restaurant with lovely views. Because our guests had varying dietary restrictions and preferences, we ordered off of the main menu. We did the same for alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages. We were served promptly and special requests were accommodated. The food was delicious; the portions generous. We had a birthday cake delivered from an outside bakery a couple of hours prior to our reservation. The restaurant refrigerated it for us until we were ready to eat it. Our servers provided candles, cut the cake, and, after my mom blew out the candles, quickly plated 15 slices for us all. Our servers were friendly and professional. My mom loved every minute! Thank you, Chart House!

I love the chart house, but this visit was disappointing. The $15 Caesar salad that we bought was beautiful in appearance, but lacked in Caesar salad flavor tremendously. My daughter and I both ordered filet mignon medium well and mine came out more medium than medium well. Red, not pink. The waitress was kind enough to ask if I wanted to send it back, but at this point, I wanted to eat my dinner with my family. After dinner, we ordered the lava cakes and cappuccinos and coffees. We were halfway done with our dessert before we even got our coffee. Basically, I only drink a quarter of my coffee as well as my daughter due to the fact that we wanted it with our dessert. My husband didn't drink his coffee at all because he didn't like it Which was strange because it was just black coffee ha ha. The waitress was a sweetheart. Despite the disappointing dinner for myself, I bought the membership card. I will come back again and hopefully next time, it will be much better.

We were seated promptly and also acknowledged of our anniversary dinner we were celebrating. Our table was wonderful and right next to the window with a great view. Our server was very friendly and suggested great meal and drink options. We opted for the prime rib, filet mignon and lobster bisque to start. All were cooked perfectly and so delicious. The sizzling mushrooms were amazing! We ended our meal with the chocolate lava cake which was so good and still nice and warm when we got it. We will be back to try their other options. Thank you for an enjoyable and memorable evening.

We have been going to the Chart House for more than 20 years!! Always great services, food, and valet parking!! One of my most favorite restaurant!!

I ordered my $48 steak with no pink. Our server said, "then you want it well done." I said, well done, but juicy. He said, "I will have them butterfly it for you to make sure it is fully cooked." That is not really what I wanted, but I wasn't going to argue. I am able to thoroughly cook a steak at home without butterflying it, so I didn't understand why their chef couldn't do the same. When my steak arrived it was cooked medium. I sent it back. When I got the steak the second time around it was burnt, and tough. The rest of our party had already received their meals and I didn't want to delay my dinner any further, so I ate what I could. I don't understand why the Chart House chef either couldn't prepare my steak the way I ordered it, or why the chef feels I need to eat my $48 steak the way he or she thinks I should. I DON'T LIKE BLOODY FOOD! I shouldn't have to eat food I don't like or suffer through a chef's tantrum by having to deal with burnt meat. I have to say I am very disappointed with the Chart House. If I can cook a steak through without burning it or drying it out, a professional chef should be able to do the same. Also, I shouldn't have to send my food back, twice in order to get it like I ordered it. I am not sure I will give chart House another chance to disappoint me. I am not really in the mood to spend that kind of money to help the Chart House chef figure out how to provide decent customer service.

Went there for our Anniversary and it was awesome. The view was incredible as was the food.

Everything went very well. Arrived and the wait time was only 10 minutes to be seated. Our waiter was very friendly and the food was outstanding.

The evening started out until food delivery. The helper placed our food on another patrons table. Our waiter had to retrieve it and give it to us the same Helper placed the food of our neighboring table on the table next to them. Evidently this person did not know the numbering system in which order was to be placed with which customer. The food that we received was warm and not hot, that makes me assume that it was sitting in the kitchen after prepared for some time

Food wasn't as good as it usually is. Prime rib was overcooked and dry. Please go back to the way you used to prepare it. Some guests said their prime rib was also mushy. Possibly you used a different seasoning which made it dry. Everything else was good especially the ambiance.

We had a dinner reservation to celebrate a birthday and arrived a little early so couldn't be seated right away. Enjoyed nice happy hour drinks at the bar which our bartender made very well - martini with lemon squeeze and a Bullet Manhattan. Got seated quickly at our window table and had excellent service without being over bearing. Our meals - halibut simply grilled was the best I've had - done perfectly, moist & flavorful. The crispy skinned salmon was also done perfectly. Enjoyed a slice of mud pie and ice cream sampler for dessert which was very tasty. Highly recommend.

Over the years I've been to the Chart House many times. The service last night from Meredith, whom I believe to be the manager was superior. She checked in with us frequently and was concerned that we have a great experience.

 We arrived early so that we could take advantage of the ocean view and approaching Sunset from a window table. Valet parking is certainly appreciated and adds to the pleasure of the visit. Service is always excellent and prompt. Our server was most gracious and attentive. Our meals were wonderful as always. The Chart House is a perfect venue for entertaining guests. It never fails to please everyone.

After 3 decades we still keep returning to the Redondo Beach chart house for always great food wonderful view friendly staff and excellent quality and presentation. We hope to continue for many years to come. I highly recommend recommend the Chart your course dinners as they very from time to time. Never been disappointed ☹️
