We tried this restaurant for the first time. We are locals in the area. The service was fine it was a quiet Thursday night at the restaurant. We tried the neighborhood dining experience. Menu was pre selected. The main dish with Octopus was very bland and lots of rice in the dish. The appetizer and salad was good and the wine was ok. Will we go back? Not sure...

We enjoyed our experience at Gabi James. Our server was excellent and we enjoyed the different tapas

Wonderful service and appreciated the attention from bartender Luis with extra questions on food and drink. It had been a long time since our last dinner visit but we will shorten the in between for next time for sure.

Food was okay. The menu felt a bit disorganized. Some of the items we had were great. Others were just okay.

We have been coming to Gabi James since they opened. Over the years some meals have been great and others on par with their normal quality which is always good. Last night we tried two new dishes off their New Years menu and they were exceptional. This was probably the best meal experience over all of the years. Great job guys!

Food was great. Service was unlevel - got our drinks after our appetizers and salads, and our server didn't seem to even realize that wasn't ideal. There was a large party next to us that was loud enough we couldn't have a conversation - probably not the norm but the acoustics of the dining room didn't help.

Love Gabi James! It's truly an upscale neighborhood bistro with a Spanish flair menu and craft cocktails! Management, staff are all gracious and attentive! See you all soon!

Great tapas, creative and flavorful. Outstanding service too. Great place if you like to sample and share many different things. Restaurant is very noisy though. Booths in the back away from the bar are quieter.

If you know, you know. Gabi James is such a gem in Riviera Village — an incredible Spanish/European-style restaurant that makes you feel like family from the moment you walk in. From the GM, Victor, to the bar manager, Joe, everyone here takes hospitality to another level. The food, the cocktails, the whole vibe — everything is top tier.

I’m here for brunch right now and honestly wondering why I ever stopped coming since February. Oh wait, that’s right — I live closer to Hermosa! But it’s absolutely worth the drive down PCH. This place just hits different.

Excellent and food and service. Had a little trouble with the cocktails- not as good as they used to be. I would recommend for a fun night out

Everything was great except we didn't care for the pork belly. Didn't have much flavor like most of your other dishes, I feel like there are a lot of ways to make pork belly amazing. We loved everything else tho and staff was great. :)
