难吃? I know u try to mimic the saffron color, but don’t put too much turmeric cuz it almost tasted like curry. Also, make sure there’s SOCARRAT on the bottom, you are not making a risotto aren’t u?

I visited a friend in the area and wanted to try a new place to eat. Lucky for us we found Gabi James. We did not have reservations but we were seated within five minutes, a slow night. Our waiter Austin, was a little slow coming to our table and overlooked the complimentary table Chips. After reviewing the menu we ordered several dishes to try, not knowing they were small portions. After a few minutes, everything came out at once the table was not adequate for everything we ordered. The food was barely warm as it sat there it got cold, waiter failed to inform us it would be wise to order one item at a time per person. Portions are small. The cost per portion is a little high. Overall price is on high end, portions are small, service it depends who your server is. A nice charming place to eat. Will be back hopefully I have a better experience.

My wife Gabriela and I swung in here on our first date night in a long time and boy did this joint deliver. The steak, c’mon. The fries, holy. The vibes, lively.

We visited for an event and we were welcomed with such warmth and amazing food. The ambiance is so perfect for a date night or a girl's night or a chill night.. Manzanilla G&T was so good--perfectly fruity and balanced. My favorite was the potato croquettes. We came for appetizers, but I will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu!

Fun cafe about a stones throw away from the beach in the downtown area of Redondo Beach. Came in on a Sunday afternoon, so we ordered from the brunch menu. The menu leans French/ Spanish. There are a lot of fun cocktails and if you have the funds, a really good selection of some rare spirits. We had a reservation for a group of four so we came in and were promptly seated. We ordered the tortilla espanola (Spanish egg and potato omelette) for the table. This was really good and was a nice light bite. I'm a fan of potatoes and eggs, so right up my alley. I split from French toast and the oxtail hash. Good combination of the sweet and the savory. Best of both worlds! The dishes were done well and I thought it all tasted great. Overall just a great place to grab brunch on a Sunday and to meet up with friends, etc. You really can't complain about the location.

I've been here a number of times but never got around to writing about it. It's a good neighborhood restaurant for dinner or weekend brunch. The food has both Spanish and French influences. The ambience is casual and quintessential of South Bay. The times I've dined here have always been fun and the meals always pleasant. The service is consistent and the waitstaff always attentive. They have a good variety of food and drinks, nothing stellar but all decent options. When I've been here for dinner, it's usually tapa style with plates to share. Most recently dined here for weekend brunch and had the oxtail hash and the french toast - a little savory and a little sweet. Both were very filling. As is typical of the area, it's mostly street parking or scattered parking lots here and there. So it can be hit or miss depending on the time and day. But it's always a nice area for a walk so I usually don't mind parking a little farther out, especially being so close to the esplanade.

Our server was fantastic, friendly and attentive and very good with the wine selections. The meals were excellent, especially the citrus salad, cheese board, filet. We have dined here many times, never disappoints.

We were seated in time for our 5:30 dinner reservation. Although the place was mostly empty, Our waiter informed us that the table was only available to us for 2 hours - not exactly a warm welcome. We ordered appetizers, and 3 entrees for our table of 3. Scallops with risotto was delicious but pricey at $36 for three scallops. The chicken dish was good as well. The paella was the worst I've had. Drowning in oil, overcooked mushy rice, seafood was just ok but overall a disappointment at $42.

We have been coming to Gabi James for a few years now and have never had a bad experience. It is one of our favorite places to eat and we always recommend it to anyone in the area. Every employee we have encountered is personable and puts in so much effort to make customers feel welcome. The food always comes out so fast, the quality of the food is above so many other restaurants and the preparation is always consistent and delicious. Our most recent visit was especially great as we were celebrating my husband's birthday and had actually started our night at a different restaurant thinking we would try something new. We however lasted about 20 minutes at the other restaurant and realized how sub par the quality of their food, drinks and service was and instantly regretted not going to Gabi James as we usually would. Luckily we saw that it was early enough that we could still get reservations at Gabi James and decided to head there instead so we could have the dining experience we wanted for my husbands birthday and it was perfect as expected. We joked that we learned our lesson and wouldn't stray from our favorite restaurant again! Thank you for always making our experience so enjoyable!

We visited Gabi James on Valentine's Day as they had early reservations available last minute, and I was very thankful for that! We brought our three month old daughter, and everyone was very kind to us. We got seated in a nice big booth to accommodate the car seat. The restaurant was decorated beautifully for Valentine's Day, and the servers were all dressed in Valentines outfits. I loved it. ! We ordered the paella and the croquettes and the lamb. Each were absolutely delicious, and I highly suggest them. The lamb was grilled to perfection, even the fat was absolutely divine. The harissa sauce with the croquettes was spicy and lovely, and the paella was so good! My favorite part was the specials they had for Valentine's Day, both my drink and our dessert were a special for the day and they were very well crafted and very tasty and it made the experience more exciting. We will return!

Best restaurant in the Riviera. My gf and I love the staff, managers and owners. Been coming here for years. Food quality is excellent and a notch above the rest of the area IMO. Gambas and Oxtail dishes are amazing.

Great food and really great service. I'm new to California, so of course I believe the prices are more expensive than necessary, but found this restaurant to be an overall great value. Ambience is more like an upscale diner, but the neighborhood and overall area is great. Would definitely dine here again.
