Five stars all the way! Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream in Redondo Beach is hands-down one of the best ice cream spots in the South Bay. Every time we stop by, the staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the ice cream is unbelievably fresh and flavorful.

You can truly taste the difference in their homemade recipes — rich, creamy, and packed with high-quality ingredients. The variety of flavors is insane (in the best way), and they’re always offering something new alongside the classics. Whether you're into fruity sorbets, nutty swirls, or decadent chocolate overloads, there’s something here for everyone.

The location in Redondo is always clean and inviting, with a laid-back beach-town vibe that makes every visit feel like a treat. Portion sizes are generous, and you can tell this team takes pride in what they do.

You haven't been to Handle's ice cream? I love ice cream and I'm telling you. The ice cream this place makes is amazing. My favorite is the key lime pie which they are always out of, lol. When they have it though it is on point and amazing.

They sell ice cream that’s about it and parking is OK

First time here for me. An amazing selection of flavors like no other. Line moves quickly. Staff is energetic and full of smiles. The Waffle Cones are very fresh, and enhance the ice cream. Banana Cream and Chocoholic Chunk were my choices, and will be my new go to flavors. What a great combo.

The line of kids old and young tells you this place has great ice cream and is a family tradition in these parts. The fun part is their featured flavors and unique choices.. there is truly something for everyone and plenty of vessels to choose from to contain all the creamy goodness.. from cones, sundaes, shakes, splits, and the choices go on and on. The employees working here are local kids and they always provide great friendly service. The line can be a little wait at times but they are hand scooping every order and giving you personal service so Handel's is well worth the wait. Prices are reasonable for the very high quality. There are a few tables and planters you can sit on and enjoy your treats. This is THE ice cream spot on the south side of town... you will never regret a visit even if you have to put in some extra cardio the next day.. life is short.. you deserve great ice cream!

We love visiting Handel's Homemade Ice Cream. Handel's is a California Classic! They make HIGH quality Ice cream and are extremely affordable. Even if there is a line it is worth the wait. Whenever someone visits us from out of town we take them to Handel's. I highly recommend Handel's and will definitely be back!
