Place is rad, so accommodating. Food is delicious. My vegan girlfriend was over the moon when she tried the spring rolls. I highly recommend all the noodle dishes go ahead and try the Pho too. Can’t wait to come back.

We've had enough and it's time to give up on this place.
We've been customers at this restaurant for the past 15 years. Even after the owners changed, the food was good.

The service however has gotten so bad that I cannot take it anymore.
We ordered dinner on a rainy night for pickup at 5:10 pm and were notified that, pickup time is 5:36 pm.
I came at the promised time and waited for more than an hour. There were several families who didn't get food after an hour or more.
The lady at the counter kept apologizing and explaining that there is only one cook and they are struggling.
In my 90 minutes of waiting, I saw 3 dishes come out. Something is definitely wrong with this place. We've overlooked so many missed dishes, missing rice etc but this is the last straw. Wouldn't recommend this place for either dine-in or takeout.
What a disaster of a place this favorite restaurant of ours has become. 😔

We are frequent customers of Happy Veggie and consistently love it, so this review is solely for what happened tonight so that hopefully upper management can address it. We arrived tonight 11/14 ready for some of the always delicious pho on this rainy night. We sat for 20 minutes with no acknowledgement from the server, who seemed new (it was not Maggie who is amazing). When my boyfriend went up to the counter to ask to order, the one server said food was going to take around 30-40 minutes. A couple tables then let us know it would take longer since they had been waiting for over an hour for all their items to arrive. We have never had this issue, so perhaps someone called off work in the kitchen or it was a very difficult night for the server. Either way, everybody that left or was waiting that night for long periods of time for their food should know it’s not usually like this!

For the server, management should let her know to not let people wait for 20+ minutes to order to only then find out that food is taking so long. Multiple people left :/

I love Happy Veggie. It's a great, family run restaurant for Asian vegan fare. I love their pho, lemongrass chicken, and their fruit smoothies and desserts.

Excellent service. Delicious all vegan meals. My favorite so far was the eggplant tofu dish. The basil was sooo good. Even their vegan strawberry cake was great. Must try.

Very cozy little vegan restaurant. Best veggie pho I've ever had, and i love the curry. Update Oct 1, 2025. There’s a new owner, a very friendly lady who was a former customer. She brought it two years ago but kept the chef and the recipes. I didn’t realize the owner changed until I talked to her today. Everything I’ve tried is delicious. I still love the curry and pho. Visiting from out of town and happened to stumble on this gem of a restaurant. Every dish had a wide variety of veggies, some which were crinkle cut to absorb the delicious sauces. Spring rolls were amazingly fresh, and even the soy based chicken was indistinguishable from the real thing. Decent prices, too.

Excellent Vegan dishes and great service! I had the Eggplant and Tofu with a side of extra veggies and loved it. I'll definitely return a couple more times while visiting my Dad in LA.

We had take-out, curry veggie masala, side of steamed vegetables and crunchy cassava rolls- all were delicious. my only complaint is the peanut sauce doesn't have much flavor

My go-to order for dine-in or takeout is pho, chicken drumsticks, and Thai iced tea. You can’t go wrong with that combo! I also suggest ordering some extra mushroom balls for the pho. Oh and those chicken drumsticks? They will disappear REALLY QUICK! The sweet chili sauce is a perfect dip for them.
