Food is good and comes out pretty quickly. We had a reservation but they were still waiting for tables to get up and there is really no space for waiting. We got sat about 10 minutes past our reservation at the bar. They did give us mochi on the house which was nice. Overall it was pleasant and I would come back!

I come here specifically for the udon lunch special and have never been disappointed. The guy who works here is always cheery and accommodating.

They didn't have a baby changer, I wanted to order a quesadilla on the place next door and they had police of not outside food (my baby es 1 year, she cannot eat raw fish), I asked them if they could cook a fish for my baby, and they said no, they could just seal the fish???, the waiters were not nice. Food wasn't special at all.

Spicy tuna crispy rice is hard and cold. Sushi rolls are decent size but drenched in sauce

Fun place for sushi with the family ! Service was friendly and upbeat. Food was delicious and a little different than your classic sushi spot.

We have been a few times recently and it's always great! Interesting menu, carefully prepared delicious food & warm friendly service ( s/o to Catalina who is terrific) great sake list, too.

Yesterday my husband and I went here for dinner. Based on our server Brendon’s recommendations, we ordered several sushi rolls. Edamame,crunchy rice and the Bluefin sushi roll were our favorites. We would like to thank Brendon and Jason— they did a fantastic job. Can’t wait to go back..

Japonica has this “hole-in-the-wall” look and feel at the moment you walk in, and that uniqueness was the theme throughout my whole experience there. For my main dish I had the cilantro ramen - delicious, especially the rich and spicy broth. Everything in that bowl all came together to make it really yummy and memorable that I'll definitely be back for another. Service was quick and attentive.

It was my best friend’s birthday and we came here to have a lunch/ dinner. We were the only black people and were seated last even though we booked a seat before some white guests. We noticed our first host left leaving us with a man who did not give us a fork when asked. Our table didnt even have sauces and we got the worst table in the outside patio. We noticed everyone around us was getting constant service while we were ignored and put last. If you are a POC I do not recommend.

It's a great spot for casual bite, very good service, a bit dark inside, but it was a rainy day. Food was prepared well, good choices of rolls. All tasted good and fresh.

Food and service were both wonderful and the food is unique in many ways. Very noisy even though we had one of the best tables. Eat outside with heat lamps

Love coming to Japonica! The food is always fresh, the service is quick, and the atmosphere is relaxed. One of the best sushi spots in Redondo Beach.
