Had a girls’ night here and it was amazing. AYCD cocktails kept us happy, and the AYCE menu gave us endless options to share and try. Fun, delicious, and definitely a repeat spot.

The vegetables are fresh and plentiful, and the meats are top-notch. What stood out to me most was how patient the staff were. They offered high chairs, brought extra utensils for the little ones, and even adjusted broth portions for my parents who prefer lighter flavors. It’s rare to find a restaurant where every age group leaves happy, but King Plus Shabu has figured it out. Our family dinner was stress-free, fun, and delicious.

It has been years since I last visited King Shabu, and coming back after the pandemic felt almost nostalgic. This restaurant used to be one of my go-to places for small meetings and casual gatherings. I was a little nervous about the ownership change, but honestly, the food has only improved. The wagyu is better than I remember—rich, tender, and full of flavor. On top of that, I even recognized one or two of the old staff, which made the experience feel familiar and warm. King Plus Shabu has managed to keep the soul of the restaurant alive while raising the bar for quality. Without question, it’s still the most authentic and delicious hot pot in South Bay.

I’m picky about cleanliness, and this place passed with flying colors. Spotless tables, clean menus, and super attentive staff. Plus, no weird buffet smell!

No yelling over music, no chaos at a sauce bar. Just a calm, delicious evening. 10/10 would recommend for introverts or couples who want to talk and eat in peace.
