The last two times we came have been very disappointing. First time the service was horrible. They dropped whole tray of margaritas on my husband and his meal. We had to ask to replace it. My meal tasted plain and my daughter felt sick after eating the soup. Even my melon margarita was actually regular.Second time. The Chicken in my tacos and enchiladas tasted like they came out of a can and the shell was store-bought. It looks like it was something from the store it was horrible. We will never go there again it was horrible.

I really liked the food here and I thought the service was on point. We got the chile verde pork and quesadillas and they both were really good. Salsa is a bit spicy but I like it that way so maybe that's why they are getting poor reviews?

The salsa was good. That’s about all I can say that is positive. The carnitas was cut up cubes of pork plain with no flavor. A tablespoon of pick de gallo, and guacamole which did not taste good, kind of sour and runny. The beans were very lard tasting. The rice bland and overcooked. Disappointing and not returning.

This use to be my favorite get away from LA to enjoy awesome food, by amazing chefs , but the change is very disappointing.Always good service & an amazing ambiance, but the food has become generic., as in the sister restaurants, El Toritos. Why change what was a success? Highly dissatisfied as a return customer.
They're using fake pictures off Google, this restaurant does not look like the pictures they have on here and it is not next to the beach.

The side soups were DELICIOUS and so was the carne asada but other than that it seemed to be an American take on Mexican food and it was mediocre. For the carne asada quesadilla tacos they used beef stew it changed the taste of the whole meal let down. We also ordered the Azteca carne asada and the beans were a bit sour and the rice was tasteless. Overall we mainly liked the side orders from this restaurant. Pick another place.
