I used to love this bakery... went in yesterday for my french pastries fix and was disappointed. Their desserts are now supper sweet feels like they doubled the amount of sugar. I got lemon merengue, napoleon and raspberry cream tart. Even my kids couldn't stomach sugar overload. This was a first for me- throwing away 'french' pasries
very delicious pastries!

This little pastry shop is definitely a hidden gem in LA and deserves more attention. I've been a loyal customer ever since I moved from Chicago. One of their must-try pastries is the almond croissant. I don't know how they make their almond paste, but it's one of the best I've ever had. It's definitely worth trying if you see it, as they run out fast!

If you want a pastry, this is the place to go ?
When I go to Paris, I don't look for restaurants, I look for bakeries, so this was a real pleasant surprise. I love the fruit and almond tarts. The pastry is excellent, and I am a sucker for marzipan. But the sandwhiches are also very nice (I usually take the salmon home for later).
Service and atmosphere are rated in the middle because it's a bakery, there is no service to be given. And for the atmosphere, it's small, just enough space for display and payment. It has some tables outside that I believe is a shared space. But I've never sat down. It is near-ish to the beach, so the air outside is fresh.
I will say that I have never purchased a full cake here, so I can't review that. But if you're looking for a little personal treat, then you can do no better!

What a treasure! Authentic French pastry delights. Try the savory ones — especially the Curry Ground Beef. Enjoy a stroll around the beachside Riviera Village corner of Redondo Beach, then reward yourself with homemade treats from this family run bakery. Small businesses like this are gems to find and a joy to support.
The chef is a true master patissier.
Everything is made from scratch and no premade frozen products like many other French bakeries.

Well, I had some high hopes for this place, but, unfortunately it just didn't deliver. We tried 3 different pastries to get a feel for the place, but all were just not up to snuff. Not sure if it was the weather that day or not using the right butter or what? The location was fine and service left nothing to complain about, we just didn't think the Viennoiseries were anything worth returning for. In the past month, I've had croissants at both CAR in Pasadena & Le Marais in Mill Valley and both left a better impression. It's a cute little place and they have a few parking spaces out front, so if it's on your way and you're not too picky about your croissants feel free to check it out.P.S. also, they don't serve any coffee, which wouldn't be a deal breaker if the pastries were outstanding, but I found a bit odd. There is a cafe right next store that acts as a kind of "sister" establishment of sorts as customers bring their pastries there, and sit at the tables outside, etc...

The Little French bakery lives up to its name entirely! Although it is small with bakery style counters, the quality of the food is 5 star or even more and lives up to the reputation of calling itself French !!They do not serve coffee and don’t have sitting space inside. However it is located next to a coffee shop that allows you to buy food from this bakery and relax with their coffee in a great ambiance. So it makes the perfect breakfast or just having a good time at anytime. Great even if you want to pick up the food and enjoy it at the beach close by.This bakery is highly recommended and I will be back to try more items there. The team is very nice and polite too.
