Okay nothing this good should be in Redondo Beach but it is? Shame on all of the other pretenders. It’s just that superb. Chef Jen scales the culinary heights of Parnassus with ease and grace. A superb experience! You have to slow down and adjust to the tempo of the space and service. You have no better place to go! Trust me!

Love this place! Made reservations one day before with no problem. Quality fish for $75 omakase. I believe it was 15 or 16 courses but it was so good I ordered more. Will definitely be back again!

I have been a regular visitor here since its opening and can confidently say it offers some of the best sushi in the United States. The chef, Gen, not only impresses with his sushi-making skills but also with the ambiance he creates and his focus on healthy ingredients, among other commendable aspects. It’s a bit of a hidden gem, which means there’s a loyal clientele and a wonderful overall atmosphere. Reservations are essential. Make sure to book in advance and come hungry. That’s part of the etiquette of enjoying top-notch dining.

I searched for a dinner spot to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday and knew she was craving sushi the past month. Inside Sushi Chitose, we were greeted by a quiet atmosphere, with the sushi bar and a few tables welcoming us directly. Sushi Chitose's affordable omakase was truly worth it; impeccable service and incredibly fresh fish made the experience exceptional. I loved that they accommodated for my allergy against scallops, they served me tuna instead of scallops and I still really enjoyed it. Note that reservations are a must, but it's well worth the effort for a future visit (no walk ins).

I'm so lucky! This place is close by and super yummy! Great fish selection and for $75 a person. That's an amazing price for Omakase. Very intimate. We had a wonderful valentines dinner here.

Make sure to make reservations for omakase. I recently dined at a sushi omakase restaurant located next to a gas station, and I must say, the experience was simply amazing. Despite its unassuming location, the quality of the sushi was outstanding. Each piece was meticulously crafted and burst with freshness and flavor. The omakase menu offered a delightful journey through various cuts of fish, expertly paired with complementary ingredients. The chef's skill and attention to detail were evident in every bite, leaving me thoroughly impressed. I highly recommend it to any sushi enthusiast seeking an exceptional culinary adventure.

Ever since my wife Ethel, died. I have been craving Japanese food since she loved the culture, and she always wanted to visit so I spread her ashes in the middle of Tokyo off the top of the skyscraper where people were covered in unknown ash. I loved it, I love this restaurant and the ambiance was beautiful and peaceful, the food is wonderful and highly suggested and it is a great way to ask where you should spread ashes in Tokyo. If you want the best Sushi in the world you go here the people are lovely and are great company. It is so accepting. THE FOOD HERE IS OmgomGOMOGOGMGOMOGMOMM SOO FGOOOD. After I took a bite of the edamame, my wife returned from the dead. The creator himself, wrote the bible, with a secret code in it, with the coordinates of the holy land, which just so happens to be this restaurant. There was this cute femboy with a fat gyattt. His name was Sukmoto. Would see again 100/10

I have been coming here monthly for the past three years and there's a reason I make the extra effort to come here frequently. The quality of fish supersedes other omakase joints, and the staff and chef are always a joy to be around. You must make a reservation in advance. Bar seating is more preferred as it's a more intimate experience with the fish and the chef. Three years have passed since my first experience here, and in each corresponding experience after the quality of food and service has stayed consistent. Come here for an unpretentious omakase experience where the staff welcome you as family.

Since moving to the South Bay, we've been on a bit of search for a local sushi spot. Our go-to in West LA was Uzumaki but it's a bit of a trek for us now unfortunately. We've tried quite a few spots in the neighborhood, but had been eyeing Sushi Chitose. I called, made a ressie super easily and waited eagerly as the day crept up. The restaurant is in this random plaza and shares a parking lot with a liquor store. We walked in and were greeted by this sweet lady. I wanted to get the full experience, so opted for the sushi bar which is omakase only. However, if you're not into letting someone else be in control of what you eat, then book a table and you can order whatever your heart desires. The bar was completely full. The main chef was making the sushi and serving it to everyone. Presentation was nice and simple. You can taste the quality of the fish--it's clean and not fishy. Some of my favorites from the omakase were: Bluefin Tuna Salmon Ikura Scallop I'm sure there were more, but I was particularly impressed with the Bluefin Tuna as it is marinated in soy sauce. I can't begin to tell you how amazing this was. The fish just melted in our mouths and had so much flavor to it. I only used my soy sauce once during the whole meal. My hubby doesn't usually eat scallop and even said that their version was SO GOOD. Something about the shiso and dash of salt on top complemented the scallop perfectly. We loved these so much that we ordered additional nigiri after the omakase. The fish pieces are a little smaller than I'm traditionally used to, however, I'll take smaller, but quality versus bigger pieces that are a bit questionable. Overall, we enjoyed our experience at Sushi Chitose and will definitely be back.

This place is a hidden gem. It's very small when you walk in, but it reminds me of Japan. We made reservations to sit at the bar--omakase is required ($75 a person). it comes with an appetizer, 12 pieces, and a dessert. The quality of the fish is phenomenal. The chef was also very friendly. Just know, there is only one chef, so being patient is key. I will definitely be coming back.
