I really hate to leave a negative review on this restaurant. My family and I love the food so much, but I've noticed a major sanitary issue during our last 2 visits. On two separate occasions, I witnessed the cook preparing food with his bare hands. Covid aside, I find it really inappropriate and unsanitary. The first time, I observed him while waiting for my Togo order. I saw him make and roll my burrito and my husband's sandwich with his bare hands. He even scooped the lettuce out of the container with his hands. I was so shocked. He would wipe his hands on his apron after touching everything. The second time, when I went to pick up a smoothie for my son, I saw the cook in the kitchen still cooking with his bare hands. I live within walking distance from this restaurant, and my family used to love coming here to eat on weekends, but I just can't forget what I saw. Please make it a policy for cooks to wear gloves when cooking.Ten stars for Chloe. She's amazing and always provides the best customer service!

Very large eatery near the beach that offers a healthy choice of food to choose . I wasn’t please that when we walked in the Thin Body Waitress did not look our way or even acknowledge us so we just sat down at a table and flag down the other Short Body Lady who gladly assisted us. Other than that the Food is always good at this location & Long Beach where I go 99% of the time.

Came here with mom and sister. Great company. This was our first time here. There were so many dishes to choose from. Service was okay, she took our order, brought us our food and brought the check. Nothing above and beyond.Food was delicious. My sister and I both chose different crepes, while mom ordered hash browns and a English muffin sandwich.I would come back to try some of the other dishes that caught my eye.

Love this place. Wish I could have stayed even longer to try even more food. The salsa was so bomb and my dessert was the best vegan dessert I've had in a while.Vegetarian options: That matcha cake is heaven!

I had the Reuben sandwich with a side salad. It was filling, hearty, and delicious. The tempeh was so delicious, and the side salad even had a little quinoa in it. The green dressing for the salad was also quite yummy. Many vegan restaurants lack in the protein department, but here they had tempeh, ‘eggs’, tofu, lentils, beans, and fake chicken as options, with plenty of dishes doubling up on proteins. The carrot cake slice was also really great, though I could taste a little baking powder - that didn’t stop me from eating the whole thing. They served me water as I waited for my takeout order, and everything came out in just a few minutes of my order. My family stopped in this town to go to the GF bakery, but I have egg and dairy allergies - thank goodness the Grain Café was right next to it, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to have a proper lunch!Dietary restrictions: There are gluten free options, which are clearly marked on the menu. My dairy and egg allergies were covered, as the whole establishment is vegan.

I love it here, for all those who are vegetarian or vegan this is the place. Mostly everything on the menu has avocado just so you know. I took my kids and hubby here to try for the first time. (They are meat eater) my kids tried the "kids hot dog" (keep in mind their is no meat here) and they enjoyed the healthy hot dog, so I was happy to hear no complaints. (My kids are 7&5) My husband doesn't like avocado so the plate he choose didn't say in the menu it was going to have avocado... so that's why I mentioned mostly every plate has avocado... he said the sandwich he ordered was okay, not filling because he needed meat lol Overall he says "place not for meat eaters" I beg to differ because the children enjoyed the "healthy hot dog" and maybe not for adult meat eaters. I also want to express that their juices are deliciously good... I got the beets, spinach, orange, carrots and I felt so energized and refreshed. If you don't have a juicer at home this is the place to get in your veggies ... also for the children to drink. (Even if it's a few sips) The place is clean and great ambiance, friendly and attentive service.

I think I could eat here every day and never get sick of this place! Everything is my new favorite thing. I will start with breakfast - I love their vegan eggs. It's my favorite in the breakfast burrito, but I've had them on the platter as well with waffles as well. The flavors and consistency of the "eggs" are fantastic - the best I've had since turning vegan. The huevos rancheros are delicious and the hot Maca coffee is fantastic! It tastes like a sugar cookie, but not overly sweet, just comforting. I also love their chili relleno dinner. It was so flavorful and filled a craving I'd been having for a while. I'm actually super picky with Mexican food flavors but they do a great job! I've eaten the food in the restaurant or gotten it delivered - it holds up well in transit! Now I'm craving another trip to the cafe.

Our server, Justin, was amazing and gave us great recommendations on the menu for items of Latin origin! The breakfast burrito with tofu egg and tempeh were delicious. The burrito was wrapped in a soft spinach tortilla. I substituted the potatoes for mushrooms and will definitely order it again- especially with the house made hot sauce. Instead of side of potatoes I ordered side of pinto beans which could have been a tasty meal by themselves- they were smokey and creamy and cooked to perfection. My partner ordered the veggie wrap with a side of garlic aioli which took the wrap to the next level of tastiness. For a vegan meal we didn't feel like we missed out on anything by not having animal products. Lastly, you can order a freshly made juice with the 4 ingredients of your choosing; we chose spinach, kale, lemon and apple and it was a winning combination. Our bill came to 48 dollars which was a splurge but worth every cent considering the freshness and level of quality of food and service. The restaurant was clean and quiet on a Friday morning, we were told it gets really crowded on the weekends. We can't wait to come back.

For years,I have been coming here but cakes are worse, tasteless. The Tuna Melt Sandwich is my favorite. I've had several breakfast food also and the French toast is really good. The interior has many Mexican cultural accents. I love it. The staff is attentive. Just the cakes.
