The Rex Steakhouse

The food is always wonderful. The service was exceptional this time. A lot of attention to detail, especially because we were dining with our young daughter. They were very attentive and aware we hope to make it a regular occasion it never disappoints.

Art our waiter is the BEST!!! The place is very nice and the food and drinks are worth the money spent. Service is impeccable, especially if you have Art as your waiter. Definitely going back and highly recommend.

Best steakhouse ever.

The most unique item I have ever seen on a steakhouse menu. They have a flight of steaks. 3oz of each cut of steak. Genius. Steak tare tare was so flavorful.

The steak was perfect. As my wife said, it is difficult to find a good steakhouse, but this one is about its business. The Branzino was delicious. Very satisfied with the service.

Service was very slow, regarding getting our orders.

The staff was friendly no problems at all. The food was good, but the servings were pretty small. We were there for our 20th anniversary. I felt the table could've been in a better place. We were sat next to a couple with a child who was leaning over our both most of the time. Again, the staff was pretty nice though

Our server was excellent! We celebrated my nephew's graduation. Food is incredible Cocktail's on point. Glad we saved room for dessert! Can't wait to go back

The moment you walk into The Rex, you know you’re in for a treat. Classy, luxurious
ambiance, and the service from the moment you walk in is top notch.

You can’t go wrong with any of the apps, the captain’s shrimp and crispy spring onion were some favorites.

Any cocktail you order is going to be great. The dirty martini had hand stuffed blue cheese olives. And don’t skip on the Milk Punch if you are a bourbon drinker, very unique, but oh so good and refreshing.

The wedge with Point Reyes blue cheese was crisp flavorful and had some of the best bacon too!

For mains, our group did a family style sampling so we could try it all. The branzino was a standout, as well as the porterhouse, with some horseradish cream sauce. The short rib was tender and so flavorful, and tagliatelle was great if you want a great pasta dish.

Dessert was a great as well, butter cake was great, the bourbon tiramisu was a hit! Also they make amazing Espresso Martinis.

Overall 10/10! If you are looking for a great meal accompanied by fun ambiance and 5 star service, you need to come to The Rex.

I recently visited REX Steakhouse in Redondo Beach. The atmosphere was fantastic—small, intimate, and the lit-up menu was a really cool touch. The cocktails and appetizers, especially the tomato soup with the grilled cheese, were absolutely delicious.

However, I did face an issue with the steaks. Despite multiple attempts to get them cooked to the right level, they still came out rare. The service was very apologetic, and the general manager kindly comped the steaks, which I appreciated.

Overall, it's a place with great potential and excellent appetizers. Hopefully, they can improve the steak preparation for a more consistent experience in the future

Lovely experience, celebrated my son's 18th birthday here, he loves a steak and os tradition to try a new restaurant every year that specializes on steak he was not disappointed. Food was amazing, service was too. Would definitely recommend.

Made a reservation for my birthday dinner here. Have eaten here before and really enjoyed my experience. When i was seated i asked for a booth and hostess said they were reserved. We ate our entire meal, paid and left, the booth was empty the entire time. It was really very loud and mostly from one of the waiters speaking at their table extremely high volume. Its usually very chill in the restaurant but just felt annoyed by my whole experience. Quality of the food was lower than i have had previously. Will not be going back.

Waiter had excellent customer service and steaks cooked over actual wood was a game changer! Definitely be back
