Me and my wife went for our anniversary. I believe the person that served us name was Chase. He was a great guy very helpful with any questions we had about the menu. I ordered the 12oz ribeye steak with Mac and asparagus and she got the pasta with a Cesar salad and bread. The food was delicious and very good quality. While eating our food we had drinks she got some coffee drink and I had 2 cups of wine. The drinks were good. Man it was just a great overall experience. We will be back soon. Thank you Rex steakhouse for making our anniversary date night memorable.

Another Fantastic evening at The Rex! Francisco (Frank) took great care of us! As always, the food, wine, and cocktails were delicious! For starters, we enjoyed The Captain's Shrimp (fire grilled), Octopus, and Levin Bread. The New York steak was cooked perfectly. We also tried the new preparation of whole Branzino. It was such a unique preparation with sauces buerre blanc and saba with salmon roe, topped with a gremolata. It is such a special spot in the South Bay! We look forward to returning soon!

10oz “Rex Ribeye”not worth $78 in my opinion seem excessive when you wait 60 mins for it to be served... I can make much better for a lot less... Do Better...

Food, service and our whole experience was perfect! We took a good friend to The Rex for her birthday. Filet Mignon cooked just right, delicious short ribs and salads. Even carrots were special. I have to confess, I love the bread so much, I ended up taking part of my meal home. Bread is out of this world! Waiter suggested butter cake dessert and it was delicious! Highly recommend.

We had dinner at the bar. The food was very yummy. The bartender Chase was a really nice guy. It mad our experience so much better. Last time we were rushed and it wasn't really busy. So happy we tried again.

Was generally fine. Nothing exceptional and nothing blatantly out of line. Food was average, bread and desserts were delicious. Drinks were very nice as well. Service met expectations. In reservation chose to be seated on second floor (less foot traffic) and was instead seated first floor entryway with all the foot traffic.

Last Sunday two of us visited Rex for the second time. It's a great spot for any occasion. So far we saw business dinners, big family dinners , romantic couples dinning and young people enjoying themselves by the bar or at the tables. Food is very traditional but deliciously constructed with quality ingredients. The service is just right . The atmosphere is low key sophisticated and you don't have to raise your voice to hear the person across the table. I am coming back to eat my way through the menu.

Our server was great however our entrees took about 45 minutes to get to our table. The food was very good. We had filet and salmon + a few veg sides.

I came here for dinner with my husband and friends, and we had such an incredible experience! Everything about this restaurant deserves 5 stars.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. Every single dish was outstanding! The steak tartare was absolutely delicious, and the wagyu tour was an unforgettable experience—definitely worth trying.

Our entire party left completely satisfied. The recommendations were spot on, and we all left feeling happy and full.

Highly recommend this place! We’ll definitely be back.

For a high end restaurant felt the service was lacking and the food took an inordinate long time. The food was good, but for the price point and service would not recommend.

I have been to this establishment many times over the years (Dined here just this past Saturday) and had always received outstanding service, however this evening was an exception. I made a reservation at 7:45PM online. I arrived at 7:15PM and was told no tables were available which I completely understand since I was 30 minutes early. Once the clock hit 7:45PM I went back inside and was told by the host they still had no tables even though they were seating other patrons that were 30 minutes late for their reservations (I know this because the host told me when I asked why other patrons that arrived after us were getting a table right away). I waited until 9:00PM and still no tables at which point I decided to leave. Pretty inconsiderate giving the fact that I drove all the way from Newport Coast to dine at this place.
