I had a great experience at Rex Steakhouse in Redondo Beach. I started with the Captain's Shrimp and warm sourdough bread, both were flavorful and perfectly prepared. The Caesar salad was fresh and well-dressed, with a nice balance of flavor. For the main course, I had the ribeye cooked medium, served with smooth potato purée and crisp asparagus. The Rex was amazing! Exceeded our expectations. Ambience was excellent. Service was top notch. Favorites: sourdough, shrimp cocktail, tagliatelle with duck ragu, mushrooms and salted caramel budino! Honorable mention: roasted potatoes and pavlova. The filet mignon sadly was not it. Super chewy. I would definitely go back!
I have eaten here twice and both times the service has been incredible and the highlight of the experience. The servers are attentive, knowledgeable, caring, but also don't rush anything. They make you feel catered too and appreciated. The food has been great, always cooked well and is up to expectations.
