We went here for a Saturday evening dinner date. We started with the Spicy Karrage and the Brussel Sprouts. The spicy karrage is absolutely phenomenal and for us, the star of the show. For skewers, we tried the momo, momo spicy, momo wasabi, the chicken meatball (I forget the name, the ebi, and the wagyu. I personally like the momo and the spicy momo. My gf loved the chicken meatball and the wagyu.
I will definitely be coming back.

This is a delayed post. Ate there two nights ago but forgot to share the wonderful experience and food.

The staff was winderfully great.

We thought that the serving portions were too small BUT it turned out to be the best as it is not about the serving size but how our senses were awakened. Did I mention that the prices are amazingly affordable?

The place was full yet one can still hear the music, the waiting staff and servers plus the conversation with your own company.

nice setting, friendly staff, and quick service. they have quite a few vegan/ vegetarian options but they were pretty lackluster.

The food here was delicious. Would highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time. They have a seasonal menu attached to their standard menu. Their sashimi plate was delicious. The cream cheese tofu dish sounds really odd, but boy was it good.

I know this place is primarily a yakitory restaurant, but many of the non yakitory items were just as good.

Nice yakitori spot. Clean premises, staff was friendly. Food was good, perfectly marinated and cooked. Some items were already out by the time we sat to eat (2 hrs after opening), which was disappointing. I wish they had more varying chicken parts. It was pretty much thigh meat, breast, and wings. No heart, gizzard, skin, etc....

Had dinner at Zoku and really enjoyed the entire experience. I booked a 6 pm counter reservation, which is always my go-to for yakitori. I arrived a little early and took advantage of their happy hour. I started with the Nikujaga skewer and $2 off a glass of sake.

They seated me right in front of the grill with a glass divider, which is exactly where you want to sit. I tried a variety of skewers: chicken wings, tsukune, momo with yakitori sauce, zucchini, wagyu beef that was surprisingly affordable, ebi, unagi, hotate, and then another round of wings. I also ordered a 300ml sake.

The vibe feels a bit more upscale than other yakitori spots I have visited. The restaurant is brightly lit, the energy is lively, and the soundtrack was all 90s hip hop, which I loved. The service was exceptional.

Really glad I got to Zoku and I’m adding it to my regular yakitori rotation.

Everything came out a bit cold and the ingredients didn't seem fresh.
Lacking in flavor, but the staff and ambiance were nice. Cutest coasters I've seen around!
Sadly, the salad was the best thing we ordered.

This is a large chain store and all over Japan but this California version is a bit fancier. The food is good and follows the same technique as the original. The drinks menu is a little small but does the job.
