Good rolls and shshi. Parking is good if you get there early. Otherwise it's street parking.

Roles have average quality fish, and are heavy on the rice

I think I have found my new favorite sushi restaurant in the South Bay. The restaurant is small but cozy, all the ingredients feel fresh and the rolls are very smooth. I really recommend this place, in terms of quality and price it is far superior.

This is by far the best non-omakase sushi I’ve ever had!
Every time I go, I choose around 8-10 nigiris of the today’s specials. It is always reasonably priced, by the quality you get!
The fish is fresh, the rice is well seasoned and its’ temperature is on point!
Don’t forget to get their unagi!
This is the place I wish I could bring with me if I ever move from Bay Area.

I have never been here. I went next next door to Villa Lucia. My rating is for Villa Lucia.
The food is good and reasonably priced. However service can be exceedingly slow.

Amazing and delicious food, the fish was melting in the mouth, so soft, so nice prepared.
This was better than Japan!!!!

I ordered the Sukiyaki Donburi and it was the worst Sukiyaki that I have ever ordered. It had seaweed and cucumber in it and the meat was very low quality. It was basically fat and no meat.
I tried to talk to the owner/chef about my disappointment and he was extremely rude and defensive. Apparently he takes no pride in his food and treats his customers like crap. I would never return nor recommend this place to anyone! Don't waste your time and money.

offers a cozy spot with a focused menu primarily featuring sushi rolls. While the music can be lively and tables are limited, it's a great choice if you're craving straightforward, delicious rolls in a vibrant setting.

A great dining experience. We came just as it opened and the food was wonderful.

Akami is very quickly becoming our go-to neighborhood sushi spot. While not the highest omakase level quality, I find that the quality is pretty good (certainly much better than grocery store or delivery) and well worth the price. They seem to have a decent sake/soju offering as well! They have a small parking lot right outside, and not to mention it's usually not too crowded around 5:30/6 even on Fridays, so a good option for a last minute lets-eat-out night :)

If you want a sushi experience with the rude Chinese waiter experience, this is the place. If you are south Asian, when you walk in, it will be assumed you are a Uber Eats driver. The overworked waiter speaks from behind a mask, making her Chinese accent even harder to understand. Then she will ignore you, and it will take 30 minutes for the first morsel of food to arrive. The kitchen is busy and you hear the lady yelling and speaking at the tip of her voice. The tables are too close to each other, and you can hear your neighbors conversations all too clearly. The rolls are ok, the tatake is overhyped.
