Our downtown RWC go to. Love the garden setting--a great place to spend a morning. I have mixed feelings about the pancakes (except the Lechera which are universally great), but everything else is lovely. There's a bit more flavor than your standard brunch food because of their Mexican influence.
The food was delicious! Everything was super flavorful, and the portion sizes were perfect! Presentation was also really nice. The staff were nice, and I loved the decor inside. We'll definitely be going back there again to try out the other dishes!
Very cute restaurant, food was good, drinks were good. Get there early if you want to sit until he garden!
First off they had such a cute outdoor seating area! This is very appreciated during COVID times :) the greenery was beautiful. The food was great as well. I had the ceviche while my partner had carnitas tacos, we shared the sweet potato fries. All of our food was amazing! We definitely want to come back, maybe during brunch because the brunch options sounded so good too!
It was the first day of spring and a great day to have brunch with my sisters. We made reservations online a few days ahead and there was no issue finding a table. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly host and immediately seated. We had the choice of sitting outside or inside. We opted for inside since the morning was a bit chilly. If the weather had been better, I would have opted to sit outside since they have a great setup and seemed to be very dog friendly as there were pups outside with their respective parties. The inside has two floors and high ceilings. All of the tables were spaced appropriately following covid 19 protocols. They have a great brunch selection of drinks and food. We ended up ordering a round of their Guava Mimosas. The mimosas were well balanced and packed a good guava flavor. For our meals we ordered: -Ceviche Peruano de Pescado -Corned Beef Hash -Steak Ranchero -Light Breakfast with a side of Pancakes The food came out at a good pace and everything was cooked and seasoned well. The pancakes were a bit on the sweet side when drizzled with the syrup, but not bad. The staff was very friendly and came to check up on our table to ensure we had all we needed. Overall we had a very pleasant experience that allowed me to enjoy good drinks and food and catch up with my sisters in a welcoming environment. I will definitely come back again, especially when they start to book events and entertainment since they have a great venue for those intimate concerts.
Great food and service! Each bite was delicious! I forgot to take a photo of the calamari we had as an appetizer. Crispy and good calamari, jalapeños and artichokes!
Angelicas doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside it's a total gem. They have great drinks, great munchies, and an amazing ambiance (a few different options, actually). A friendly staff makes it a fantastic spot for a date, hang out, or solo chill session. We really enjoyed (and were surprised by!) the carnitas tacos with homemade tortillas, guava whiskey sour (very unique), and margarita.
My husband and I went to this restaurant today, Saturday (03-13-2021) for lunch for our anniversary. I was very impressed and the food was great; so the chef is amazing. The staff and owner were so nice and attentive. They even brought us a dessert treat for our anniversary. The atmosphere was relaxing and the restaurant is nice and clean. I will be going back for breakfast and dinner; also telling our family members a new great place to eat with friendly, professional, attentive and courteous owner and staff. Great experience!
Our Friday night date was made even more special at Angelica's. Sam (Samantha) was a delight as our waitperson providing charming, professional service. Happy hour outdoor dining. The calamari was tender with two dipping sauces. Coconut prawns were lightly fried and juicy with a sweet/spicy sauce. Do not pass up the steak tacos! We rounded out the evening with Angel's perfect Margarita. If possible, dine outside. The lush alley way seating provides privacy and the beauty of ferns, water fountains and tasteful statuary. Angelica's is a hidden gem in Redwood City.
One at the best food and the Bay Area everything is delicious you need to try to believe my favorite restaurant the seafood very fresh the breakfast time super delicious
Food was not the best. Not a lot of flavor. I had the ribeye and for $40, it should have been amazing. Will not be back. Service was great though.
I came to this place for brunch and the vibes were immaculate! I absolutely loved the ambiance and the cute neon sign they had. Their bottomless and food was pretty cheap! I went with a party of 4 and we each got food and bottomless and paid $40 total (tip included). The service was pretty fast too and the staff was super nice. I had made a reservation (make sure to make one so you don't have to wait) but still had to wait for a few minutes when we got there. They let us start our bottomless mimosas at the bar which was super nice so we had a fun time waiting! I would definitely recommend sitting outdoors because it was so pretty in their back patio and great for pictures!
I was in San Carlos for an appointment and wanted to have breakfast. I wasn't in the mood for "traditional" breakfast food. I came across their yelp and their ambiance outdoors looked amazing. Let me also say, I don't usually pick Latin American food as my first choice so I don't eat it as much as I should be. The lady up front offered us a table in the front or back, but said the back was loud with construction at the moment so we chose the front. They've built a real platform for the tables , so you aren't just sitting on the sidewalk. They have string lights above, plants around and heat lamps- all adding to a cool ambiance. As first timers, we ordered the Steak Ranchero, Chilaquiles, Angelica's Lechera Pancakes. OMG. My son and I never finished a breakfast entree before. Maybe because we aren't big on breakfast. My husband finished the Steak Ranchero of course but who doesn't finish steak & eggs? I got the Chilaquiles and I have to admit, if I had to crave for one breakfast dish, this would be it. 3 crunchy tortillas + chorizo + salsas + cheese, plus a side of jalapeño ahh! My 5 year old doesn't order from a kids menu. He got the pancakes. And let me say that they make pancakes like it's a pancake house. They were cinnamon pancakes- so it's like a horchata flavored pancakes. It had the right amount of lechera on top without making it soggy and the berries apple compote as a topping was also cooked to perfection. No weird preservative taste. It tasted super refreshing and adding that right amount of sweetness. I've never seen my son finish any pancake in his life. I definitely recommend their breakfast. I'd like to come back soon for dinner!!
Good ambiance, good food, variety in the menu. Staff was very friendly and attentive. I had the Pato con Mole and it was one of the best moles I have ever had
Angelicas caught me by surprise and let's just say, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I visited the restaurant on a Sunday morning and dined outside under a heated lamp. The service was exceptional. I ordered the Belgian waffles, Huevos Benedict w/ Crab and Angelicas Scrambler. The waffles were the perfect texture; soft on the inside with a very crispy outer layer. The Huevos Benedict was served with REAL crab! The highlight of my meal! The Scrambler was packed with flavor! Can't wait to try the Lunch/Dinner Menu! I highly recommend. Be back soon!
