My family loves the food for takeout it’s our go-to for dinners as well as parties, and my husband and I love to go and sit at the bar. Sushi is excellent, prices are very fair and chef always has a surprise for us. Big big fans of Asya!!!!

Went gif a dinner on Saturday night. The place was not very busy. They have indoor and (limited, only one table) outdoor seating. Place is pet friendly. Service was attentive and quick. The menu offers variety of choices - sashimi, sushi rolls, nigiri, bento boxes and also some Thai dishes. We got nigiri (tuna and salmon) and sushi rolls (spicy tuna and garlic hamachi rolls). Food was fresh, nicely presented, tasted well. Meals are at reasonable prices.

Ordered the seafood pad thai, portions were tiny, and bill was pricey. Took a few bites and realized the scallops had gone bad. Not a slight ammonia taste, but a rancid flavor and smell that I could taste and smell thru the strong spices. How the chef who prepares raw fish for a living didn't catch it is beyond me. I pointed it out to the waiter quietly as I did not want to spook any other sit down customers. The chef and waiter bickered for a minute, before the chef came to take a smell of my unedible dish. He then offered me four dollars off my 27 or so dollar plate of rancid pad thai. I told him I took 2 bites and was worried about getting sick, as is the case with rancid shell fish. He countered at a seven dollar discount, I declined and payed full price with my promise to him I would never return after dining there once a month for a year or so. I do not have to tell you what followed that night. Missed two days of work with food poisoning. Not too happy about my experience at all.

We moved to the area about a year ago and just discovered this hidden gem! We ordered the vegetarian pad Thai, vegetarian yellow curry and the avocado roll - all were delicious and for less than $40 total! The ambiance is quiet and calm, and our server was very friendly. We're excited to come back and try some more dishes and support this local business!

The food was excellent, the service was excellent, but the door that wouldn't stay shut in the wind was annoying.

Good sushi. This is our neighborhood sushi place and we have never been disappointed. Food is as good or better than the downtown ones. Sushi is handmade fresh for your order, flavors are well balanced, attractive presentation. We've tried many other dishes, rice dishes, curry, bento box, veggie deluxe sushi. Good options, all tasty. The only reason I don't give Asya 5 stars is that the ambiance is basic.

This hidden gem has delicious food and great combo of Thai and Japanese options. The service is a bit spotty but hope it will become more attentive as the young servers get more experience.

Great food, great prices. A local treasure! I love the sushi and the Thai dishes. Drunken noodles and Pa Nang Curry with salmon are two of my favorites!

I very rarely leave a restaurant feeling distressed, but there were a lot of issues here when we stopped by for lunch. I think one in isolation is already stressful but there were just too many in succession. The lack of cleanliness was a big issue here. We looked up and saw huge spiderwebs and cobwebs above the front door inside. That was rather gross and hinted that the restaurant may not be that thorough about cleaning. My husband was absolutely disgusted by this. Next, the serving ware was a bit dirty. My husband had this gross stain on his water cup near the lip, so he asked for another one. The waiter was about to bring over a second cup when he noticed that too was dirty so he had to go back again to get another cup. That was unsettling. The new cup was actually still dirty but at least it wasn't near the lip of the cup. The water was in those big glass bottles that you pour yourself. I noticed that the rubber top (that touches the water) had a ton of black spots. That indicates mold and/or dirt which was pretty gross. I should have asked for a new bottle but I think I was just so shell shocked from the rest of the stuff that I forgot to ask. Next, they gave my husband the wrong dish despite the two dishes not sounding alike. They quickly rectified it which was good. They also initially gave my husband miso soup and we thought it was part of his meal since we didn't order it. However when we got the bill, they charged us for the miso soup. We had to briefly argue that we didn't order it; we ate it because they gave it to us and they finally agreed to take it off the receipt. Rice is not included with curry and so that was an extra $4 which was also a bit pricey. The yellow curry portion was very large to my surprise. However this was one of the most watery Thai curries I have ever eaten and I eat a lot of Thai curries. It was too bad because I actually thought the flavor was decent though. Chicken was also a tiny bit dry. The green curry roti is not bad though. I liked the curry sauce. All in all I was just disappointed with our lunch experience and won't be back anytime soon. I'm kind of upset because I remember going to Asya (same logo, I checked!) back when they were in San Carlos and Ioved it back then. Not sure if ownership has changed or what.

We've been looking for a nice, mid week "I'm in the mood for sushi" place with very good quality and reasonable prices and we definitely found it here. We ordered 5 specialty rolls and the tempura. Plenty of food for 2 with leftovers for $70. We will definitely go back.

Located in the Emerald Hills area of zRedwood City, it is a little hard to find, but the food is outstanding. Sushi is delicious and the portions generous. It's a 20 minute drive for us and worth it.

Ordered pickup through Uber Eats, order went through, then even said the food was ready, but when I got there the restaurant was completely closed! Contacted the restaurant later and they just said they're always closed on Sundays, but online it said they were open. Won't go again

The sushi was so fresh it melted in your mouth! The service was wonderful and when I remembered that I left my leftover sushi at the restaurant, they had alert put it in the fridge in case I came back.Fabulous!
