I am SOOO bummed they shut down their Redwood City location with very little heads up. I wish I got one last Nutella latte with oat milk and extra sweet. I LOVED this place so much. The location was great with live music on the weekends from local artists to the French bakery across the street with the best croissants and the beautiful trees that lined the sidewalk. My husband and I would go here several times a week and people watch. This was our jam! Hopefully they have just moved locations or will do a pop up elsewhere. We love and miss you Red Giant!!!!

As of yesterday they are permanently closed. I forgot to snag a pic of the note on their door. So sad to see them go :(

Coffee drip is one thing I try the first one before tasting any other things or even coming back. The beans flavor is very scenty, though I got one with an additional 1 espresso shot. I always try the warmed one for the chocolate croissant but i just felt like trying the unwarmed one and trust me its really good with the hot coffee. The other one I actually want to highlight is the ambience which is very nice and very close to the cal station if anyone wants to stop by. Also has outdoor seating with cool music running in background.

I love Red Giant! They have been doing a wonderful job of keeping their customers safe in the pandemic. Even though the mask mandates are lifted, the staff all wears masks -- THANK YOU!!! The prices are fair, and the coffee and tea are delicious! I love their signature iced coffee and chair. The pastry selection was a bit more extensive (gf and vegan options) before the pandemic, but no docked stars because I know how challenging it has been. Please bring those gf donuts back thought!! :D Thank you for keeping our community safe and serving delicious drinks!

Came here on a Monday morning around 11 am. It is a small and clean cafe. The barista was friendly and the coffee was good. The coffee is a bit sparking and full. They don't have many choices of coffee and pastries. There was not much indoor and outdoor seating. The croissant had decent flakiness on the outermost edges and was chewy at the center. It was a solid amount of croissant but not the most memorable. Specifically speaking, - Ambiance 6/10 - Cleanliness (indoor) 8/10 - Cleanliness (outdoor) 5/10 - Coffee 8/10 - Working 4/10 - Barista 8/10 - Pastries 7/10

Solid coffee spot in Downtown Redwood City. I came in around noon on Friday and there was no line. Ordered a vanilla bean iced coffee at the kiosk and the barista got started on it even before I finished placing the order. The coffee itself was good and the vanilla flavor was unique (tasted like real vanilla and not the artificial stuff!). Their hours are a bit limited, so make sure to get in before they close!

Forgot to take a picture of the ice chai latte but it was so so yummy! Will definitely be coming back here for it! It was sweet and... fruity? Uncommonly so! But we liked it so much better that way than all the other chais we've tried! Our coffee lattes we got here paled in comparison lol but were still good.

The service was really great and the staff was very kind! The overall aesthetic of the shop is a mix of hipster and modern. I'm not a big fan of really strong coffee or bitter notes, so the Vanilla Iced Coffee was a bit too bold for me. I will definitely get the Iced Chai next time, which I got to taste and it was very, very good!

Red Giant has one of the best lattes in Redwood City, as well as a wonderful, kind, and knowledgeable staff. It's an absolute gem of a cafe, and I'm happy it's finding a way to survive despite COVID difficulties. I also highly recommend their coffee beans. They offer a wonderful little variety of freshly roasted beans, which they sell both on-site and online. It's been really convenient to have beans delivered to my home.

Came here on a weekday morning right when it opened up at 8am. There were about 5 customers lined up. Clean, small cafe with 4 different types of pastries to choose from. I got a lavender latte and an almond croissant. Quick service and outdoor seating available. The latte was pretty good. Lavender can be a hit or miss and I would say this was a hit. Not too strong/over bearing and the right amount of sweetness. The almond croissant had decent flakiness on the outermost edges and chewy at the center. It was a solid amount croissant but not the most memorable. Unfortunately, there is another cafe across the street, Mademoiselle Colette that has better selection and quality food. But MC has limited coffee options. So if you're in a hurry and you want a quick bite with your coffee at 8am and MC's line is out the door as usual, Red Giant Coffee is a good place to stop by.

I walked in roughly a minute before they closed since I was on my bike ride. They did not make me feel like an inconvenience one bit and were just as friendly and supportive! I had a chocolate croissant with my Americano which was tasty albeit rather limp but it’s all good because service is the most important thing and then again the taste was there, too! I do support this quality small business! :)

Best coffee in RWC in my opinion! Staff is friendly and they service bakery items from Starter Bakery from Berkeley. Yum!

I've been here a couple times for their Nutella latte! It's my favorite on the menu. It's not too sweet, but the Nutella flavor is definitely there. They now have a self-order kiosk!! This is really convenient because before, I would have to wait a couple minutes for someone to take my order. The workers are usually all busy making drinks! Inside seating is limited but there's a huge patio space outside.

Nice coffee shop near the hotels at Belmont. Service was nice and helpful! Got the Nutella and vanilla lattes and they were pretty good! Would come back if I'm ever in the area again.
