A huge rat ran out from the restaurant so we left between the appetizers and entrees. The staff was completely unfazed but apologetic while seemed like they're used to it. We still had to pay for our order.

Sausage 3 single skewer, small, medium flavorful
Grilled Marinated Beef Short Ribs 5 tender, chewy, juicy, slightly sweet, flavorful
Lamb Chop 3 slightly dry, not flavorful

We ordered grilled squid ($16) here today, and both the rings and tentacles had black parts and tasted far from fresh. When we asked the staff, they insisted it was “normal.” After eating, both of us ended up with severe diarrhea. Definitely not recommended!

Just went in for lunch and wow they've leveled up! Overall a solid 4.5!

The things that we used to like were all still yummy, and some things that I hadn't been impressed by were really good!

In particular:
- The youtiao 油條 deep fried doughnut stick was freshly fried and amazing. Maybe a smidge on the heavily crispy fried side but yummy and chewy. The best youtiao I've had in years (but I don't really go out of my way to order this normally since it's often stale). Will definitely get this again!
- the soup dumplings Xiao Long Bao had a nice delicate skin and were tender and flavorful.
- the ground chicken skewer and chicken heart skewer and chicken porridge were really good still. Porridge is still a little salty for my taste but yummy.
- service was fast, friendly, and attentive.

They had a sizzling meat dish on a cast iron that smelled amazing - will look for it on the extensive menu next time.

Really like the porridge and the skewers. Consistently good. I like to get the chicken heart. Tsukune ground chicken is pretty good!

The scallion pancake is pretty good.

Kid likes the XLB but I think they're mediocre

Noodles pretty mediocre in my opinion.

Would recommend avoiding the fried stuff (fried shrimp tasted frozen but maybe it's improved in a year?).

Friendly staff but sometimes need to work to get their attention (but I appreciate the friendliness).

Sparkling uji matcha iced tea (White strawberry ) - I am not a marcha fan but this drink wins!!
Pig shaped buns ( custard filled ) dessert- it could have been better if they had salted cream. - 10/10 for presentation tho
Skewers and cucumber salad weee good too.

The portion size is small as compared to the price.
Overall.. good experience.
The food tastes delicious and the server was super sweet!!

We had a good experience at Brochette Dumpling and Grill on Main Ave in Redwood City. The ambiance is lively and fresh — with upbeat music, beautiful wall decor, comfortable chairs, and nicely set tables.

When we arrived, the restaurant was fairly quiet, but a few more people came in as we ate.

Service was friendly and quick. We tried a variety of dishes — the dumplings were solid, and the skewers were tasty. We especially liked the shrimp sui mai, chickem meatball and the chicken thigh skewer with wasabi. Just a heads-up: the chicken wasabi does pack a punch!

The pork soup dumplings were delicious, and the shrimp and pork siu mai were also a highlight. Would definitely come back to try more!

I went here with my grandparents and OMG IT WAS AMAZINGGGGG!!!! I actually needed to thank the chef because of how good it was holy moly

I got a sparkling oolong iced tea and it genuinely tasted like falling in love I will have DREAMS about this restaurant

On top of the food itself, the staff were incredibly friendly and funny too! Atmosphere was great, good wait times, and really cute decor.

11/10 would recommend every single time.

Authentic Chinese cuisine. I never had raw octopus until today. It is the taste of the sea, absolutely delicious. The veggie rolls were so good. The shrimp scallion pancakes were delicious as well. Their lychee sake and yuzu sake are probably one of the most flavorful and delicate drinks I have ever had. The seafood congee was really good. Their green tea cheesecake is amazing. My friend had the ramen with quail eggs, he said it was amazing. Awesome restaurant!!
