I would post a picture of the chili cheese fries but my husband inhaled them . I usually find something wrong with a French dip sandwich but this was 10/10 . I also enjoy hearing the music in the background so please turn it up .

Parking was difficult during weekend dinner hours. It was also very crowded, so there was a wait! But it was all worth it; the food was very fresh, and the burger was the best I've ever had. The nostalgic atmosphere is rare in the Bay Area these days, so a visit to Redwood City is a must.

I had the New York steak sandwich with fries and a combination pizza. Pizza was surprisingly very delicious and cheese was stringy, love it like that. The steak was a little tough, but I blame myself, I should have ordered medium instead of medium well. Fries were perfectly nice and crispy. Plan on stopping by again soon.

Price was very fair. And really where else can you get artichokes!!!! Pulled pork was amazing and Philly was excellent. We are from out of the area and it was a great find!!

Canyon Inn is a Redwood City classic. The menu’s got great variety, but I always come back for the Scott’s/hacksaw/british burgers and a cold beer. The vibe is laid-back, deep history, and it’s the kind of spot that just gets it right. It’s one of those places that feels like the heart of the community—timeless and always welcoming.

I came back to the Canyon Inn for the first time in many years. Shame on me. The place has so much rich history, most of which is displayed on the walls. Lots of 49er nostalgia. I met the longtime owner Tim, and he greeted me like an old friend.
The food is classic comfort with lots of options and generous portions. You won’t go home hungry. A perfect place to take the family.
