We were traveling through the area at night recently and stopped in late at night. We were worried their lobby was closed, but they welcomed us in and were very friendly. Their dining area was spotless, though dated. Carl's Jr in general is a decent fast food option, though they are relatively expensive. The quality is notably better than some of their cheaper competition, though. Feeding our group of 5 came with some sticker shock, but it did the trick, and prices were generally more expensive in CA than what we'd get back home.
Another quirk we dealt with in CA, especially here, was having to get the bathroom key from the front counter. This was a mild inconvenience traveling with two kids and a few people with chronic stomach problems; we had to ask for the key several times during our visit.

Usually my favorite burger place, friendly knowledgeable staff, but has gotten exceptionally expensive. I rated the atmosphere as a three-star because I didn't go in, i used to drive through.

They just charged me a before tax price of $14.79 for a regular sides double jalapeño cheeseburger combo advertised in their menu as $9.79.
