Crouching Tiger is our favorite Chinese restaurant. The food is delicious. Had dinner with family and couldn't pick my favorite dish because they were all so good. Love the booths and they have a full bar which was very good too. Can't wait to return soon.
Really good food, served in generous portions. I will happily return! However, the service is brusque and efficient, more than accommodating and elegant. Go for the food and forgive the atmosphere!
I don't know how we missed this place! The Dan Dan Noodles and Dry Sauteed Beef with Chili were both delicious. The beef was definitely the highlight – very crispy and spicy, shredded in small pieces. The Dan Dan Noodles were numbing and mildly spicy, although I could have gone for noodles that were slightly less cooked. Both were very generous portions, for reasonable prices. Great service, including a water fill-up!
Good eats fair price.
Great food and service. Had the eggplant with black bean sauce, hot and sour soup and chili shrimp dish. All delicious.
A little noisy sitting on terrace due to Caltrain tracks just behind the restaurant
Tasty food and great service.
Horrible food. Seriously. Sweet & sour pork!!! Where was the sweet and sour? So much batter on the pork it was what are you having with your batter.
The hot and sour soup was the worse I’ve tasted in 30 years. WILL NEVER GO BACK.
Edit:
🆗 String Beans with Fried Tofu and Brown Rice – Generous portion, but I found it a bit lacking in sauce. Once I added my own chili oil and botana sauce, it really came together nicely.
🆗 Vegan Mushroom and Bok Choy Stir Fry – I was hoping for a bit more flavor. The sautéed veggies tasted quite similar to the main stir-fried mix, which made the dish feel a bit one-note.
The good and service was very good. And they will make most items on the menu gluten-free, if it's possible. Would definitely be going back.
Dan Dan noodles were very tasty! Mock Lamb very flavorful, but alittle dry. Flaming fish fillets were chewy, but that might have been due to the fish itself. Stay away from the the orange chicken.

We come here all the time and always enjoy the excellent food, excellent service, and wonderful family atmosphere. Best neighborhood restaurant in Redwood City! Very highly recommended.

Very american chinese food, don't expect anything designed for chinese taste buds. The portion were great and the pricing is affordable but every dish was so salty that I can't continue eating it. Very disappointed.

Some dishes are the best we've had anywhere and others are "not bad." Dry Cooked Beef is outrageous, Hot & Sour Soup is the best around, King Pau Chicken is mediocre with big chunks of green peppers, OK sauce but no scallions and not enough peanuts. General Chicken used to be great but recipe or chef has changed that to merely OK. Service is attentive but pretty gruff when eating-in. Definitely recommended but can be hit-or-miss on (some, occasional) food quality.
Parking: Small lot behind the restaurant and there is street parking. Good luck finding a spot during busy times :)

Have only ever had takeout from here so can't rate the service, but their Dry Cooked Chicken is spicy, flavorful, and addicting. Highly recommend!
