Nice place with vibrant atmosphere and friendly service. We were quite disappointed with the food though (rib eye steak was chewy and with little flavor and very mediocre brussle sprouts).

Always a great experience at Limon Redwood City. The atmosphere is classy but still warm and welcoming, perfect for a date night or a dinner with friends. The food is on another level. Every dish is bursting with flavor and beautifully balanced. The seafood is a must try, especially if you love fresh and vibrant flavors. We had the empanadas sampler and it was phenomenal. Each one had its own unique twist. And the cocktails? Top notch. Creative, refreshing and expertly made. I cannot wait to go back and try more. Highly recommend!

I love the chicharron de pollo (make sure to get the aji amarillo dipping sauce for the yucca fries) and the mixto clasico ceviche with taro chips. Can’t go wrong with the truffle mac & cheese. The service there is polite and on their toes ready when you need to catch their attention just glance and they’ll come check on you right away. They are so warm and accommodating. This place has a beautiful atmosphere and is suitable for all occasions from stopping in to watch the game at the bar or a nice setting bring a date, or colleagues, or a birthday party!

Disappointing experience.
I had planned to celebrate my birthday at Limón. A couple of weeks ago, my husband went to the restaurant in person to check availability for a group reservation on a Friday. He was kindly assisted by a staff member who showed him the space and confirmed that a reservation for that day would be possible.
Based on that information, I sent out the invitations, and my friends confirmed their attendance. Everything was set.
A few days later, my husband returned to the restaurant to finalize the reservation, and to our surprise, the manager told us that reservations are not allowed on Fridays. We explained that the invitation had already been sent out based on what their own employee had told us, but the only response we received was:
“It was a miscommunication. There’s nothing we can do. It’s the restaurant’s policy.”
I understand and respect house policies, but when the mistake comes from the restaurant itself, the least you can expect is some empathy and effort to help solve the situation.
Unfortunately, there was none. No concern, no willingness to help, not even an apology.
I had to change the location of my celebration at the last minute, which caused a lot of unnecessary stress.
I’m very disappointed with how management handled the situation. It was a terrible customer service experience at Limón.

BAD SERVICE SITTING AT THE BAR DURING HAPPY HOUR ON A TUESDAY. I ORDERED MY FOOD AND MY FOOD NEVER ARRIVED. SO, I LEFT. THE KITCHEN STAFF WAS WAS STANDING AROUND DOING NOTHING. THIS DID NOT LEAVE A GOOD FIRST IMPRESSION. NOT ONCE DID THE BARTENDER CHECK ON ME.
Lunch specials are great and worth your $$$

Here is a full June 2025 breakdown, unbiased and not associated with restaurant or employees, but doing reviews of most of the RWC restaurants over the next year.
Reservations: easy, on Resie, 7pm on a Saturday, at a table, made 1 hour prior
Greeting: prompt and polite and immediately looked at tables available for seating
Bar: L shaped, multiple TVs with sports but no volume that would be disturbing, extensive spirits and beer selection
Ambiance: good lighting, music not too loud, great vibe, upbeat but not obnoxious atmosphere
Wait staff: attentive, not overly chatty, pleasant, a 2nd wait staff member came to our table and took our drink order because our server was tied up with a very large table
Temperature: comfortable, doors open, warm
Seating comfort: very, soft seats, not grammar school chairs
Noise: appropriate for the atmosphere
Clientele: mixed crowd, casual, but not sloppy and also some people were business casual dressy
Drinks: good flavor, light on the alcohol but what you get when you try speciality drinks at restaurants. If you want strong, stick with your Manhattan up, vodka/gin martini, etc. Extensive wine and cocktail menu selection
Appetizers: great selection, had the tuna tartare, with seaweed, radishes, mini red peppers, edamame, unagi. Very tasty, great portion size for price
Main dishes: flat iron steak - medium rare, cooked perfect, not overly seasoned, just the way a steak should be, potatoes and vegetables accompanying were proportional and tasty. Saltato vegetarian - wok stir-fried seasonal vegetables, ginger-infused soy sauce, french fries, and jasmine rice was very tasty and veggies were crisp.
Value for the price: equivocal. Cost was what I expected for 4 drinks, a raw seafood appetizer and two entrees.
Claudia and Selvin of the wait staff were very attentive, super professional and personable!

We were so excited to come here and the seating was nice. The food was amazing but the service killed the vibe! The waiter made us feel like we were a bother. This waiter definitely is in the wrong job. He is not someone who knows how to serve customers. He knows nothing about Customer Service, The wine that was served was old, my husband said we can’t drink this,. I was the one who shared that the wine was bad so we returned it. The waiter gave me the evil eye and said I’m always a problem, I couldn’t believe it, horrible experience.!!! Doubtful we will ever come back because of that waiter. Perhaps we’ll come back and ask for a different server, but really upsetting!

Food was good, but the service ruined the experience
We came in excited to try this place—the food and drinks were actually quite good. Unfortunately, the service was terrible and completely took away from the experience. Our server was rude and dismissive from the start. When we asked questions about the drinks, he made us feel dumb and was not helpful or courteous in any way.
Customer service was clearly not a priority. It honestly felt like we were an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests. We were hoping to order more drinks and enjoy the evening, but instead, they abruptly asked us to leave, which felt completely uncalled for and unprofessional.
This place needs to seriously train their staff on how to treat customers. Great food means nothing if the service makes you feel uncomfortable. We won’t be returning.

As a Peruvian, I was excited to try this restaurant because a lot of people spoke highly of it. Horrible Lomo Saltado. Meat had no flavor and dry. I could only taste the soy sauce because the plate had so much of it. Rocotto sauce was not even spicy, also barely had flavor, and they charge $2 for that. Only thing I liked was the rice and chicha Morada. I only ate a good portion of it because I was hungry.
Service was mid. Staff very serious. For a restaurant like this, you honestly expect better attitudes.
Restaurant is pretty but music was pretty loud sometimes.
This restaurant is not worth the money and it is not approved by a fellow Peruvian.

Limon is more that their famous rotisserie chicken. Some of the dishes we tried is their crispy pork belly which is heavenly with the fried rice that came with it. The steak is a large portion with plenty of sides to choose from. We got plantains, cauliflower and tuna tartare for apps. The plantain is kinda plain, but the cauliflower is worth the try. The tuna tartare is fresh and makes a good combination with the crisp taro chips that came with it. We had a beef and seafood dish and they are equally tasty in their own right. Everything that we ordered is to be honest really good sonypu cant really go wrong with what you're going to order here.
Parking is a bit tough as in any downtown.
This is a good place for meetings, friends meet up or even a follow up a date.
Highly recommended.

Such a disappointing experience. It took 15 mins to get any service after seating (on a Sunday evening). We then ordered entrees when apps arrived, but after 30 mins, entrees hadn’t arrived. Our waiter finally checked in, disappeared for a while and the returned to tell us “the kitchen lost your order.” We’d been there for 90 mins at that point and opted out of waiting again for entrees. Our waiter brought us our bill for our apps and drinks, and that was it. I was shocked to not even have a drink comped after that experience. We left and got burritos for our kids on the way home. We will not be back.
