I was feeling pretty low, after being diagnosed with MDS-5q with complications and TP53. I had a meeting with the doctors at Stanford who explained the treatment plan, how I must go through Chemotherapy and how I am being put into a database for a Bone Marrow Transplant donor. When I was taken to look at the Cancer Treatment Center, I saw how scanty the place is and how this poor elderly lady was getting sick, after her treatment and how she had no dignity left in such a place!! And I thought, gosh, that is going to be me pretty soon here! So, I was feeling pretty low! I decided I was going to eat some great dishes! Things I haven't had for a while and I probably won't be allowed to eat again! The nicest man came over after I ate the Bone Marrow! Yes, the very thing I need to have Transplanted! I ate! And it was actually really good! I used to eat it as a kid! I decided to splurge! I had deep fried okra, bone marrow, a salad and lamb sliders! The man asked me something I couldn't understand because the music was a little bit too loud. He walked away and came back with 2 shots of Bourbon! It was just like an Anthony Bourdain moment!! He had me try what's called a Bourbon Luge!! I highly recommend this, if you've never tried it!! I never felt so special!! It was such an awesome treat!!! And I am going to take this terrific moment with me, when I start my Chemotherapy treatments after next week, when I start to loose my dignity, like that poor lady in a wheelchair! Normally I never drink! But after the week I had... that really hit the spot! Thank you, to the owner of Martin's West!! I'm sorry to see you go!

Was here for a private work event. The select of whiskey is excellent, only matched by the cocktails. I had a Pimms Punch and an Old Fashioned - both were good and had subtle flavors. We also had an assortment of different food from the venue - pretty much everything was tasty and excellent. Venue is wood covered - as you would expect from a comfortable whiskey establishment. I'll be back to try some flights soon!

Came here with the husband for a drink close to 9pm...great relaxing atmosphere, although the bartender was quite awkward (trying to clean up the bar while serving us). Good tap list, great cocktails (creative!), but it did get quite noisy as the after hours customers startled trickling in...

Wife and I dropped in on an impromptu date night. We were warmly greeted and seated quickly. Despite being busy with an event, the team was attentive and made sure we we're happy. The drinks were well made and creative. The food was good and perfect for sharing. We both sampled several items and we're happy with our selections. The place had a good vibe. Fun but not overly loud. Overall we liked Martins West and will be back.

Excellent selection of Scotch and American whiskeys. I was only in town for the night but throughly enjoyed the atmosphere, the variety of whiskys and the food was fantastic. Scotch Quail Eggs were unbelievable, I have no idea how they manage to keep the yolk hot and liquid and still fully cook the white and the sausage, I was genuinely shocked at how perfect they were and will definitely visit again. The service was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about whisky.
A great place to spend an evening in redwood City. The food was great and the waiters were amazing.

My wife and I ordered the lamb sliders and lamb pasties. The meat was wonderfully balanced and cooked to near perfection. Even on a Friday we had a pleasant conversation without having to yell. Well definitely return!
