The food was a bit mediocre for a ramen restaurant of this reputation. It did not hit the spot, even though it was a rainy day and the mood was perfect for ramen.Service was pretty quick and staff were nice. However, and I’m not sure if this was a standalone occurrence, the lead waitress was scolding one of the waitresses right next to us. Another waiter also seemed angry; I’m making this assumption due to his body language and how he was putting food orders into their system. It made me not want to ask for help (both my partner and I ordered various levels of spicy ramen and they got our orders incorrect).TLDR: awkward atmosphere and tension, quick and good service, food was not worth the premium
Not sure if it's just me but, I think this place is a bit over-rated? It was ok but could be better. I decided to get the chicken paitan. The broth was really nice (maybe a little too salty though?) I wasn't too keen on the noodles, they seemed just generic and nothing special? and a whole egg was just put in there (i thought they would have cut it in half?) I t was pretty quick though and our server was really friendly and happy ^^ Don't let my review put you off coming here though, give it a try :)

I felt that I was treated differently by the guide while waiting for a table at the door. She seemed friendlier to white people and ushered them in more easily. Don't call your number when there is space. However, when a white man comes, you immediately ask his name and then lead him in.

A solid ramen spot that gives you a whole egg instead of half. The broth was solid though it's slightly above average (70 percentile) compared to all the ramen I've ever had. Noodles were good, but for some reason they didn't have the wavy type noodles. Overall, pretty good, but you are paying for the ambiance, decor, location, and service, because dollar for dollar and pound per pound, the quantity was a little short compared to what I was expecting when spending +$20 for a bowl of broth, noodles, vegetables, and protein. For $4-$5 less, you could opt to get a large bowl of pho that will leave you full.
