Normally this place is awesome but today I got the pulled pork sandwich and it had way too much fat left in. There were a couple of bites that had zero meat. Ugh! Hoping this is an aberration as I still plan on going back.

A little pricey, but I love fish and chips and finding it close by is convenient. Had a little trouble making contact with the place to pre-order by phone so just drove down and waited while it was made, turn around service was quick and even delivered to my car. Also enjoy their barbecued items and love their ribs and brisket. Web presence needs attention.

Was next door shopping and decided it grab some take out. Service was prompt and polite, and ribs were outstanding. We also got Mac and cheese which was also delicious! We'll defiantly be going back.

Not so great. Pulled pork was very dry. Brisket was fatty and flavorless. Ribs were the best, but I've had better. Beans were flavorful, but too much sauce. Coleslaw tasted like it came out of a Sysco box. Definitely not home made. Overall, I would not eat again. Was it terrible? No. But you can find better quality bbq within a few minutes drive.

I love this place for the food, the people, and the atmosphere. They share the same space as the old port lobster, so you can get bbq and seafood together - the best combo! From the bbq side, my favorite is the pulled pork, Mac and cheese, and sweet potato fries. Everything melts in your mouth. On the seafood side I love the salmon burger. It's huge and comes on a big potato roll. Everything is super fresh and tastes great. The staff here are super polite, whether it's take out for COVID, or dining in when we were able to, the staff are all very friendly and will accommodate any need. It's very family friendly, and actually has a spectacular kids menu!

Best Manhattan (red) clam chowder around. Plenty of clam pieces. Better than Sam's Chowder House. Ribs are very good. No opinion on the brisket or other meats. Fries could be better. Fun atmosphere.

Suberb gazpacho soup, rich with lobster and shrimp. The ribs and french fries are also very good.

Outstanding! Huge portions of tri tip smoked to perfection. The bbq sauces are delicious and the service is great... Will definitely be back for more. Even the Texas toast that came with the meat was delicious, tasted home made. Great job guys!!!

The fries are the most decent thing which is a pretty bad sign for a BBQ place. We had the brisket and pulled pork which both were terrible and dry across the board. Any amateur backyard grill can do better.

This restaurant basically shares its space with Old Port Lobster Shack. This review is for my experience with the "Rack & Roll" side of the business. I have no issue with the "Lobster Shack" side. I don't have any other one-star reviews. Go ahead and check. I told myself I would only ever write a one-star review if a place really got under my skin. Welp...that time has apparently come. I come in and order the "special" -- a burger served over tater tots, with spicy sausage and chili. It was not clear from the menu description that this would be a bunless affair (though I was perhaps naive for not divining this fact from the identified ingredients). In any event, I ASKED the cashier whether the burger came with fries. She furrowed her brow, mystified by the question, and read the menu description. After about a minute, she said she didn't know. She then proceeded to spend another minute looking at her register, seeing if that could provide any additional insight. It did not. So she asked a cook. The cook just pointed her to where on her register she could ring me up for my item (that took another minute). She then rang me up and waited for me to make payment. Apparently in the three minutes that had elapsed between when I asked "does this come with fries" and the time I was rung up, the cashier had forgotten the question. I asked again: does. the. burger. come. with. fries. Answer: "Yes, and a side of cole slaw." Lovely. I then paid for my order. 10 minutes later, a dish is placed before me. It is a wide plate of chili poured over stale tater tots, some chunks of room temperature sausage, and the most disgusting hamburger patty I have ever seen. I'm reasonable certain it was composed of meat, but even today I am not sure what animal it came from. It had the texture and flavor profile of a rubber chicken. I was repulsed. Oh, and no fries or cole slaw. The cashier's three minute investigation into my completely innocuous question yielded false information. I'd like my $15 back. Oh, did I mention this abomination was $15? So if you're wondering why I'm writing my first-ever one star review...mystery solved.

Ordered pulled pork sandwich Togo. No bbq sauce. Really? Was really looking forward to the sandwich until I realized there is no bbq sauce. It's so dry! Tried to enjoy it as is but looks like I'll have to buy some store bought bbq sauce for it.

I've been here three times and my girlfriend has been here a dozen times....and we've always had awesome meals! The full rack is what I love and I have also had the tri tip and brisket...all were home runs and always delicious. The grill master came out to is our first meal and explained how he does it. All temperature cooking style...none of that generic stuff so that the meat comes out to perfection. Great beer. Friendly staff. 6 stars!

Order: Pulled pork plate with Mac & cheese + BBQ beans Was served two small tubs for the sides, a half-slice of bread, and near indistinguishable meat-substance. Mac and cheese was swimming in a congealed mass of chunky cheese-sauce, brisket was tepid and fatty (almost as if it was reheated in the microwave). The bread, will small in serving size, was the good type of soft slice to absorb BBQ sauces (both on offer at the table were tasty, if lacking in body). Beans were also tasty, with some added chunks of crisp pepper. This was one of the weaker dining experiences I've had in months. Very disappointed, given the lack of higher-quality BBQ joints in the greater Bay Area.

Sorry to say but they are nothing like they were when they opened. The actual BBQ masters are gone and how there are just workers doing the cooking.
