I like this place! Chill and yummy every time. Tried the gaucho sandwich today and the brisket was great. I saved half so I would have room to try their desserts for the first time. That is some darn good bread pudding!

Dietary restrictions: I try to be carnivore so other than the fries and bread, I don't fall too far off the wagin

We got takeout at the exact time they said to come pick it up. Brisket was cold and needed to be microwaved. Beans were cold. Sauce had probably just come out of the fridge. Brisket was mediocre in taste. Wife said her tri-tip was “OK, but I was also really hungry.” In short, I would recommend avoiding this

Food was good, service was quick and excellent. The ambiance is where this place can make a lot greater improvement. The sauce is gluten free and all natural is the thing that brings this place to a 4 star for me.

Another terrific find! This came to my attention when they catered my hospital's event. It was delicious! I have visited a few times dining both in and outdoors. The staff were friendly and engaging. While the prices aren't the lowest, you definitely get your money's worth and more. On my most recent visit, I tried the on-tap beer and even got to sample the brisket burnt ends...YUM!

Redwood City BBQ is the BEST!!! We go here all the time. We just did a big order for our Sunday Football party. The food was amazing!!! One item was missing from our order and the owner Hugo personally delivered the missing item to us all the way in Burlingame. Thank you so much!! Please try Redwood City BBQ you won't be disappointed!!

Excellent BBQ - the ribs are outstanding, as well as their sides (beans and coleslaw, yummy garlic bread). And the sauce is the best. We've been going regularly for many months now. Very much an authentic BBQ joint.

Love this place! Isela and Lourdes are a great team! They are very friendly and helpful. They make us feel right at home every time we come in. We love the Trip Tip, Santa Maria Salad and the ribs!

My family has been coming here since they opened. We quickly became fans of their brisket - in my opinion, it's the best thing on their menu.I've always felt that the Bay Area lacked good BBQ, so I hope this place is here to stay. Their brisket is so tender, moist, and flavorful. I've been to Austin, Nashville, and Charleston, and I still think this place has some of the most memorable brisket I've had.Yesterday, I went and ordered a large BBQ meal with brisket. Once I took it home and dug in, I started to feel like I'd been given the same amount of meat that I'd had the last time I ordered a regular meal. I called in and asked them how many slices I was supposed to get with a large. They quickly realized there'd been a mistake and asked if I was close by.I told them I could come back in a few hours, and they said they'd make up the difference. We hung up. Just a few minutes later, the manager, Hugo, called me to apologize. He also said he'd make it up to me with a gift card, which was above and beyond.True to their word, when I came by later in the day, they had a gift card with my name on it and the different cashier had been briefed on the situation. She was very kind about getting me the new portion and even comped me when I threw in an extra slice of cornbread which I had intended to pay for.I really appreciate the staff here turning a disappointing experience into a great one. It made me feel appreciated as a customer and happy to keep coming back.If you haven't been here yet, try the brisket! Come support a local business. They do catering and fundraisers. They sell great BBQ sauce and seasonings. They have smoked turkeys available for pre-order every Thanksgiving. There's free parking. Their new bittersweet chocolate pie is awesome. They have garlic bread AND cornbread so you don't have to choose. Their smoker is parked in the lot, so you can see that they make everything onsite.Really so much to offer and you're missing out if you haven't been here yet.Parking: They have a free lot, ideally it shouldn't be a problem but if you happen to catch them at a busy time it could be a little tough since they're on a busy street.

went here 2 times this week once in the morning and once 3 hours before closing both times turned away by cashier(women). the first time i went in the morning i was going to order a breakfast sandwich and i was late for the breakfast time by 12 minutes but there was only 2 other people in the diner i was still turned away i wasnt suggested anything else she had just said breakfast ended and when i looked back up at her after seeing it was only 12 mins i scoffed a went and got tacos. now today i go in 3 hours before closing and im the only one in the diner and when i proceed to hand the lady 100 bill to pay for my food she says she does not have change. really makes me wish that this place was still dairy queen. i will not be going to this establishment any longer and ive been a redwood city resident for 20 years. it just bothers me so much because this establishment isnt busy at all when i go in to order and no change 3 hours before closing really..? horrible business practice much? . the morning kid who opens the diner is much more friendly and coherent to customers wants and needs. food is great too...

They have BURNT ENDS! Burnt ends - tender fatty brisket w carmeljzed crust. Pork ribs - thick w lotsa meat. Mac & Cheese - surprisingly good, no cheap Velveeta cheese, a light coating of white cheese, yum. Cornbread- thinner than most but good corn taste. Service: great! Isela P. is friendly and patient.

First and foremost, the food is amazing! Chicken, ribs, and brisket are our favorites. But secondly, the service is also amazing! I ordered several catering meals for work parties. Communication was great and everything done to specification. The people are so nice and showed my three year old the cool smoker outside. We got another bbq meal to go for our family that night. This is a local favorite of family and friends.
