The worst restaurant experience we've had in many many years. We cannot imagine this restaurant will survive. It has seating for maybe 100+ people, and we counted 11 including us. We asked the kind waitress about the blaring horrible music, and she said the staff found it very difficult to work with, but they were not allowed to turn it down; it was supposed to make the place lively. It was very unpleasant to try to eat fast so we could get out of there and communicate better.

Had Sunday brunch, and the place was completely dead. Despite only having one active table, service was glacially slow, as was the kitchen. Worst part of the experience was the barman prepping(?)— it sounded like someone throwing plates and glasses about and made it much noise it was impossible to have a conversation! I can only assume they just wanted us to leave. Mission accomplished. Permanently...

The food is outstanding. From the eggs Benedict to the steak and desserts, it was delicious

It's average for the price, view is obstructed by the hotel pool (and the guests laying on lounge chairs). Drinks were ridiculously priced and watered down.

Great location, great service. Cobb Salad ( split)., chicken Caesar solid, chicken sandwich, 3 ice teas, 1 pistachio gelato. Best was gelato.

Very nice indoor and outdoor dining inside a hotel. Great service, fairly good food selection, tasty drinks. Dog friendly inside and out!

Pretty setting, decent food, moderate prices, and friendly staff marred only by incompetent service from said staff. My wife and I went for Mother's Day dinner seeking a waterside setting. We each ordered a starter and a main course, and all the food arrived at the same time. I observed that in Europe it is common to eat the salad after the main course so I would follow that practice now but that one usually begins with a starter, hence the name. The response: Most people like it this way. Really? Have you asked anyone? Did you ask me? When I asked for some fresh ground pepper for my salad the server plucked the regular pepper shaker from the table and handed it to me. Nope; not what I asked for. The wine list was concise, nothing unusual or enticing, on the same menu as the cocktails and other drinks; no separate wine list, I was told. On the way out I saw a display case with some unusual wines and then an electronic sign showing half off all these bottles of nicer wines. Our server was ignorant. The serene atmosphere was offended by background music better suited for a dance bar. The server kindly found something more mellow (but not really mellow) and then we had to ask for the volume to be turned down. Those who are not properly training these (trying to be helpful) customer-facing employees are the ones responsible for this poor service.

I keep hoping the food will get better. We live in Redwood Shores. Food came out cold and tasteless. Had roasted garlic as a garnish and it was hard. The polenta had no taste and was cold, mushrooms were cold and the tuna tar tar came out with no chips and it was an appetizer. This place is on the water and they do nothing with the outside to draw people in. Such a waste of a great location. $200 for bad food. I never write reviews but this one I needed to talk about.

We had the most incredible experience at the Grand Bay Hotel for their Mother's Day brunch! From the moment we arrived, the beauty of the hotel took our breath away—elegant, warm, and perfectly set for a special celebration. The food? Absolutely outstanding. Every bite—from the fresh seafood to the decadent desserts—was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. It felt like a true culinary treat from start to finish. What made it even more memorable was the staff. Everyone we encountered was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You could feel they took pride in making sure every guest felt special. Thank you to the team at Grand Bay for making this Mother's Day one we'll always remember. We can't wait to come back!

Unfortunately we took our mom to this restaurant. We arrived at 6 pm It was empty, nothing was prepared, tap took time to get filled and prepared, food took a long time and one was not delivered. When it got delivered it was cold and we returned it. Then restaurant got filled with 15 vey loud children with their parents who sat on a different table far from the kids. Conclusion is we will never go there again.

The best Easter brunch experience combines a delightful array of delicious food, exceptional service, and a dedicated manager who ensures everything runs smoothly. Picture a festive spread featuring beautifully arranged dishes such as fluffy pancakes drizzled with maple syrup, rich quiches filled with fresh vegetables and savory cheeses, and a variety of mouthwatering pastries. The attentive staff provides friendly and prompt service, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and satisfied. Meanwhile, the manager oversees the entire operation, coordinating with the kitchen and the team to create a memorable dining experience for all attendees.mirko are good server thank you

We visited on the Saturday before Easter, we arrived at 4:15. It was very quiet in the lounge. We were the only guests. I suspect that our timing was not the best as when we were leaving more people started arriving. My husband ordered the chicken wings, they were served with ranch dressing, carrot and celery sticks. Very nice. I ordered the pork belly sliders, the pork was sliced fat, no meat. In the future I will not order the sliders. The location is very nice, our experience with the staff was excellent. Friendly and helpful.

Our group of four enjoyed everything about our lunch at Waterside. The view, the food and the service were all great. Thank you for all that!

Raul was a great waiter. Handled so many people at once but did not forget a thing. Food and drinks were great!
