I am really pleased that I stopped at The Baker Next Door. They offer a nice variety - from pastries, to bread, coffee and other beverages, to sandwiches and toasts. I had the avocado toast, along with matcha tea. The toast was delicious, generous in size, and accompanied by a very fresh looking and tasting salad. The matcha tea was very good. I got some bread and look forward to returning for pastries in the future. Nice amount of tables inside. Additional seating on the sidewalk. The only thing I wish they would add is internet access, since it is a good place to sit down with a computer!

Vibe, location , coffee and treats all excellent. The bread I took home lasted days and was delicious. Outdoors is dog friendly but tight, ymmv when bringing pets. Lots of sun. Staff sometimes rude is the only real downside.

Excited to have a neighborhood bakery we could easily walk to. There are various bread options throughout the day, both the baguette and seeded country loaf made excellent sandwiches. The loaf is so heavy, great texture! Also decent flat whites.

I have type 2 diabetes which I manage through diet and exercise. The arrival of a bakery in my neighborhood was not especially welcome news, but I've changed my tune after a few visits. The salads are tasty and fairly filling, the coffee is rock solid--it's my favorite within walking distance--and what few pastries I have tried were worth the indulgence (and half an hour on a treadmill, afterwards.)

What a delightful discovery in Redwood City! Stepping into Baker Next Door feels like entering a haven for all things sweet and delicious. The sweet morning bun and kouign amann are absolute works of art—buttery, flaky, and caramelized to perfection. And their coffee is equally amazing, a perfect partner to the pastries. While the pudding was a bit average for my taste, the rest of the visit was a true joy. This little bakery is a pure gem
