My favorite Italian restaurant on the Peninsula. Been coming here when it first opened. Chef Odan is remarkable. His soups are excellent along with all his dishes. If you don't see a dish you love, ask. If the kitchen has all the ingredients, they will make it for you. Never liked callamari in the past, but, became a convert with Chef Odon's calamari doré. Fresh, hot bread too. Adon, Odon's son, is a certfied Somelie forr Vino Santo Bistro. Great Team!

Amazing dinner. Great variety of pasta, gnocchi was blessed by our Italian Au pair - her favorite she has had in America. Also sneaky friendly for family/ young kids despite the white table cloths. Staff was personable / friendly - great atmosphere.

We had our team dinner with a big group. The service was amazing, but food (even the bread) was even better!!

Great dining experience overall. I got the linguini, my partner got the fettuccini. Perfectly cooked pasta and the pear martini was delicious.
However. The tiramisu, was absolutely out of this world. I think I've found the perfect tiramisu in the area, if not the world. It's the only picture I took. It would make an Italian grandmother (nonna) cry it was so good.

They took great care of us! We have small children and they catered to them… esp when it’s really a nice/adult restaurant! Food is amazing, with lots of options. We had the fettuccine and chicken Marsala.

Have always heard this place was great, and it was. Food was fantastic and looked so good I just dove in and forgot to take pictures. Atmosphere was quiet but without energy if that makes sense.

Nice and fancy Italian restaurant in the busy streets of Redwood City downtown. Very professional staff with accommodating dietary restrictions.
Our order:
Kale and Beet Salad
- light and refreshing
- ask for candied walnuts on top it adds another dimension to the salad
Tortellini
- tortellini was sooo creamy
- very soft stuffing
- mushrooms were delicious
- very heavy
Gnocchi
- our waiter recommended the Gnocchi and honestly was pretty decent
- not worth the $26 given how lackluster the dish was
- the gnocchi balls itself were good (handmade) but might've been better with a light sauce
- the marinara sort of suppressed the dish
Cab Sav
Coffee Stout

If you are vegetarian this is not for you. I order Alfredo (creamy sauce) pasta and I can literally smell sea food. When requested to swap with marinara . The server said they can but will charge. I mean why. I ended up not eating anything.

Had a nice and perfect dinner with my family when we were visiting my uncle in the hospital. They made us feel welcome and fed us well. We sat inside which was beautifully decorated. Staff was professional and attentive.

We were so excited to finally eat here and very disappointed. The food was bland and the staff was not warm or particularly helpful. I asked for a taste of a wine that was 35 dollars by the glass and they said they don’t give tastes because people could just ask for multiple tastes?. The wine ‘specialist’ came to the table to describe the flavors which was not necessary and it was just such a turn off as we’ve never been somewhere where a taste is refused. He the brought a taste anyways and that was great as we ordered that wine and loved it. But the resistance and attitude was just an immediate put off. We were still open and excited to try the food. The capresse salad, risotto and scallops were all a huge disappointment. All of it was bland and the risotto was basically white rice with unseasoned fish and mushrooms.. It’s a great atmosphere with good wine and bread, but we will not be back.
