I've been hearing about this place for a bit and finally got to try it with a friend on Sunday night. There was plenty of space throughout the night and we were seated quickly. We had to walk up to the front and order (and pay in advance), but there was still table service for water, which was a little confusing. We shared two main dishes and an app which ended up being ~40pp. The food was decent and it was good ambience, but it is on the pricier end for me. Worth trying this place for authentic Indonesian food in the bay area but I probably wouldn't be coming back super often.
One of the best restaurants in the Bay! Came here with our Indonesian friend, he’s absolutely amazed by the foods here. Everything is tasty, vibe is chill, and the staff are super friendly. We ordered a lot of dishes, and still managed to finish them all. Highly recommend visit here with a group of people, so you can order a variety of foods.
taste like being home! Very authentic and fusion style of Indonesian foods that it’s so hard to find in Bay Area. The restaurant is not big but very special vibes with dedicated touch on the details from wall prints to the table setting. The foods are tasty and fun to look at with presentation. Will come back but the parking is a problem! Spent like 15min to look for a spot nearby
Super authentic Indonesian restaurant in Bay area. Totally must visit!!!I totally recommend:*BABI BALI (Balinese Pork): unique proposition of pork, mixed vegetables, with Balinese sauces*MIE PADANG LAUT (Seafood Padang Sauce Noodles): the sauce is sweet sour taste, amazing!!!*KALIO BRISKET (Braised Brisket) : very tender, the winner. Big generous chunks!!*BAKWAN (Corn Fritters): with Okra. Very crispy and generous portion. And*KRUPUK (garlic chips) for side appetizerRecently they got recognized as Michelin Guide 2022. Impressive for a new restaurant in Bay area. The ambience is trendy with touch traditional Indonesian culture (wall decor, lamps and cutleries).
Food is very unique and flavorful. Great ambience and service. You walk up to the counter to order, which renders the street food vibe a bit more; meanwhile you do get seated and the table service.
The braised beef was amazing, it's a must have! Also loved their chicken satay, especially with the peanut sauce. The service was really good too. They initially mixed up our order but were super apologetic and kind enough to replace it at no extra charge.Would definitely visit here again to try other things on their menu.
The pay at the register, fast casual style of this restaurant doesn’t quite work. It disrupts the meal to need to get up to order, and the price point really implies table service. I was excited to try to the food, but was generally disappointed. While the corn fritters had a fun texture, their predominant flavor was spiciness, and the duck was incredibly bland despite large quantities of sauce. The music was a strange beat that was a little off putting, and the tables don’t have too much space in between which made every reach of the waitstaff awkward. The narrow oblong tables made it hard to hear everyone in our party of six, and we didn’t linger over our meal. While it was nice to try once, I wouldn’t go back.
Friendly and delish authentic Indonesian food
Outstanding and creative take on Indonesian food, a cuisine that's hard to find in the Bay Area. It's a relatively small spot and you'll be welcomed by very friendly staff who take a lot of interest in explaining the highlights of their menu. We tried the fried corn-okra fritter and the grilled rice cake. The rice cakes are actually small sandwiches with a filling of exquisitely tasty and aromatic chicken, which almost had a texture of pulled pork (only much better). For mains, we settled for the braised brisket. The meat is slow cooked in a base of coconut milk and spice, which renders it soft and incredibly decadent, also the roasted potato and plain rice on the plate help balance out all the protein. The Panna Cotta was once again a standout for blending the subtle lemon grass aroma into the cream. Overall, a mind-blowing culinary experience.
We had a great experience dining at Warung Siska! Original and flavorful Indonesian food, well-appointed interiors, warm ambiance, and helpful and friendly servers. We can’t wait to come back!

Everything about this place was amazing! It's only been around for 2 months but I'm forecasting a bright future. Food was delicious, spicing was perfect, and the service was super friendly. Even got to meet the owner and head chef (Siska!)Only critique is that the prices felt a little bit high, especially relative to the portion sizes. A bit of a wait to get in too (plan ahead on a busy evening)
Everything here is great!
Highly recommend this place! The food is great and generous. Authentic modern-Indonesian cuisine, they are more focused on several dishes instead of having a lot on the menu which I love it. The owner and the staffs are very passionate people who wants to promote Indonesian cuisine to the world, they are super friendly too!
This place is incredible! Best Indonesian food in the Bay area BY FAR. everything is good and well worth the price. Things aren't cheap but once you realize what you're getting prices are extremely fair. The food is authentically Indonesian, but with modern touches. The Bali pork was especially incredible. These dishes are gourmet - pink peppercorn on a Pana Cotta?? MIND BLOWN, so good!!Michelin Guide should give this place a try.
Very authentic Indonesian cuisine. Definitely worth the trip!
