This is a very small Mexican restaurant that serves very good food. Both nights we went they were doing a very good takeout business. We limited our order to tacos with carnitas (on the server’s recommendation) and Al Pastor. They were delicious. Service was friendly and prompt considering how busy they were. GPS seemed confused about where this gem is located, but it’s right on Oak Street between Cory and Harold.

It is really nice to finally find a place which says authentic Mexican food and find it to be true. Usually when it says that the food is prepared gringo style. However, wife and I had not been there since pre-covid and I saw that it had changed ownership so we had to check it out. I ordered the chili verde and I ma well aware this dish is suppose to be served with some spice. As I was raised on Mexican food so when I order Mexican food I expect to to be authentic and I relayed this to our server and she assured me it would be spicy. I have to say when the dish arrived you could smell the spice and when I tasted it it was awesome. The flavor of the chili verde was spot on and the spiciness also was spot on. The sauce the chili verde was mixed in was a creamy spicy sauce. I have to say this dish was amazing. I would definitely recommend this little restaurant to anyone who is in the Fort Bragg area and wants authentic Mexican food. Also, be sure to let your server know if your prefer the food to be spicy otherwise it will be prepared gringo style. I can say the wife and I will be definitely be returning to eat there again the next time we are in Fort Bragg. I will also be advising family and friends to eat there if and when they are in the Fort Bragg area.

Good food, and dang, the portions were huge! I got the carnitas plate and it was enough for two. I got a to go box and had carnitas again later. :-)

Food was delicious nice service will be going back!
Food was excellent. I had carne asada. The beef was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Even the rice and beans were good. Chips and salsa were very fresh. Convenient curbside parking right outside the door. This restaurant doesn't have great curb appeal, but once you get inside things are very nice.

Taco stand style menu with extras. Food is good, wholesome, fresh, and priced right. Taco Tuesday rules here. Always really busy at noon, but takeout is an option. The Al Pastor is to die for. Huge wet burrito. Mom and Pop type place for a good healthy lunch. We go maybe twice a week affordable goodness.
A tiny restaurant on East Oak Street near Harold Street. Tasty Mexican food, generous portions, and low prices. Cheerful and efficient service, also My family's favorites here include the Steak Ranchero and also the Chile Relleno Burrito.

We arrived in Fort Bragg on a Tuesday when many of the dining options we would have chosen were closed. We drove around and found La Palapa and couldn't have been happier with the result. If you have any doubts about the quality they are quickly dispelled by the constant flow of traffic in and out. We enjoyed the Chili Relleno combo, a Carnitas Hard Taco and a Fish Soft Taco. All were excellent.

It was okay. I guess cant be too picky for the area but the carne asada tasted like it might be dog. Would i eat here again-i think yessir.
