This is a very small Mexican restaurant that serves very good food. Both nights we went they were doing a very good takeout business. We limited our order to tacos with carnitas (on the server’s recommendation) and Al Pastor. They were delicious. Service was friendly and prompt considering how busy they were. GPS seemed confused about where this gem is located, but it’s right on Oak Street between Cory and Harold.
It is really nice to finally find a place which says authentic Mexican food and find it to be true. Usually when it says that the food is prepared gringo style. However, wife and I had not been there since pre-covid and I saw that it had changed ownership so we had to check it out. I ordered the chili verde and I ma well aware this dish is suppose to be served with some spice. As I was raised on Mexican food so when I order Mexican food I expect to to be authentic and I relayed...
Food was excellent. I had carne asada. The beef was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Even the rice and beans were good. Chips and salsa were very fresh. Convenient curbside parking right outside the door. This restaurant doesn't have great curb appeal, but once you get inside things are very nice.
