Quick with a smile, sharper with a comeback, and she’s got this charm that makes you wonder if she’s mixing drinks or just straight-up magic. I came in for a cocktail and left wondering how someone can make bartending look that good.

If you’re looking for a place where the atmosphere is fun and the company is even better, O’Grady’s is it. And if Courtney’s working? Let’s just say you’re in for more than just a great drink.

“What an amazing find in downtown San Diego. If you love cigars, hookah, good coffee, and a fun relaxed atmosphere then this is the place to go!
We were so fortunate to have Duc help us on our visit. He had wonderful and extensive knowledge of cigars and matched our taste to their made in house cigars (which are fantastic and reasonably priced for the quality).
We will definitely return next time we visit San Diego. This place has great energy and a really good vibe!“

“We came here for a coworker's birthday. They called ahead and prepared a special menu with our names on it, along with homemade cheesecake and whipped cream. We ordered the prime rib, broccoli and French onion soup. For the price, I would rate the steak 8.5/10. The service and ambiance of the restaurant was great. “I stayed at this hotel—and ate at this restaurant—a few years ago, so when I received an email about their Thanksgiving menu, I decided to give it another try since I wasn’t in the mood to cook this year. Honestly, it turned out to be a really nice surprise.

My wife and daughters ordered the Thanksgiving menu and everything was excellent—the turkey was juicy, the stuffing was great, and the whole plate was very well done. I ordered a steak, and it was cooked perfectly and tasted great as well. Service overall was friendly and attentive.

The reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because of something small but noticeable: I ordered a bottle of wine, and although the server checked on us several times, he never helped with pouring the wine. I don’t think he ignored it on purpose; it just felt like he didn’t know the proper service for bottle wine. He was very polite, though—just needs a bit more training.

Other than that, we had a great Thanksgiving dinner and would definitely return.“

“We were in LA to attend a birthday party at the Peninsula Hotel and my economically shrewd wife found Maison 140 as a cool and inexpensive nearby hotel - which we were very happy with. However drinks in the downstairs Bar Noir was an incredible added bonus. Randy the Barman engaged us immediately and within 3 minutes we had our generously poured drinks and were chatting to other guests. It felt like we were regulars at “Cheers” (the old TV series Bar, where everyone knows your name). It was one of the best bar experiences we’ve had in years. Absolutely loved it. Thanks Randy !
