Came here and ordered red beans and rice and had lil to no rice in the bowl, I didn’t complain. I actually asked to purchase a side of rice to add to my order. To my surprise, the chef actually came out and told me they had ran out of rice for the evening. Which would explain why the red beans and rice I ordered had lil to no rice to my disappointment, but was still served and charged. At that point, I no longer want at the red beans and rice that didn’t have any rice to begin with so I asked to return the food and be refunded my money. An older Caucasian woman who seems to be a manager or something reluctantly with an attitude refunded me my money now I would’ve left it at that and never came back and wrote a review but I returned because I also ordered a shrimp dish that I really enjoyed so I came back to order a different date when the woman from previous who reluctantly refunded me my money notice it was me is the reason why I’m writing this review she gave me the worst service ever and not only that had clearly informed the other bartender female of what happened the last time I was there because then she also gave me the worst service ever. I have been living in point Richmond for 10 years patronizing in all the restaurants here in the area and I have never received such horrible service as I did at this place I don’t know if it was racial because they definitely were two white women and I am an African-American woman, but I am extremely disgusted I am with how they treated me, and no one should have to experience that when actuality they were wrong for serving me a bowl of soup and beans with no rice. Oh, and I will still keep coming here for that shrimp dish and if the service continues, I will take further action into making sure that this restaurant is held accountable for their nasty behavior. I didn’t deserve to be treated like that the second time coming back to patronize and spend my hard-working money in your establishment to be treated so poorly. Do better!

Maybe it's because I'm African-American because I see those who aren't are the only people who enjoyed this place. The service was horrible. If you want to be treated poorly by an old Caucasian woman sure go here if not, don't waste your time the older white woman who works at the bar is extremely rude and disgusting acting!

This is one of the coolest places...I have ever been to ..Great sound system for the bands..bartender very friendly too !! I loved the decor ..and the back patio and upper level upstairs is badass ! Thanks ⚘️!
