Caspers Hot Dogs- Richmond

Wowowowowow!!! I’ve loved in Richmond for 10 years and just found this gem tonight. WHAT A TREAT! The dogs are epic, get mayo on the Chili dog, Dana and Chevy were the absolute best, and it was an ACTUAL magical experience.

This place is so bad it's good. I mean it's not bad. It's just simple. Simple hotdogs served in an honest way. No frills. Old school environment. Interior was never updated. And I'm glad it never was. It's old-school simple hotdogs. The people who serve you are hard-working people. They treat you kindly. It's so bad that it's not only good. It's great. Five stars

Delicious, well-known hot dogs with good service. There’s not much to this place but a few tables, and a couple of regulars hanging around, but the dogs are delicious. A bit pricey, but good to support local, unionized workers too.

This Caspers has been here a very long time and I use to go to in often but hadn't been in about 5 years. It was still the same friendly people working there, who take care of their customers and keep the place clean. A Caspers dog is one of the better hot dogs out there. The atmosphere is not great. It's in a dicey neighborhood that is not well maintained unfortunately.

Always worth the trip to the Bay Area. I've been eating Caspser Dogs since I was a kid. Now I make the 6 hrs trip to take my kids there.

I had the cheese dog and hotlink dog. Both are great choices, but the hotlink is a little too spicy for me. The staff is friendly the atmosphere is clean and inviting.

Parking: There 5 or so parking spaces, including a handicap space. The is very limited street parking, so it could be hard to find parking when they are busy.
