When has Chevys ever been a bad idea ? I love coming here for fresh guacamole made right in front of you and taste amazing. The service is always great !! Orlando was my server this time nice guy !! The bartender makes the drinks strong and are reasonably priced. Coming around 8 on a Saturday you'd had to wait a bit for a table but the bar is more fun any way !!

WOW!! Here I am again. I gave it some time until my son came home with food last night and it was delicious!!!!!! So I went today for lunch. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE at this location is INCREDIBLE!!! EDITH B was my waitress and she was SO VERY KIND, WARM and just willing to make me happy! This made me feel very special, like they really cared that I chose to spend my hard earned money there!! Keep it up guys!!! BRAVO EDITH B!!! You're awesome!!! Keep smiling. (Don't make me look bad! LOL!)

The menu has changed ! Less choices The chips are still the best especially when nice & hot ‼The chip basket is a lot smaller than it once was - just have to refill more often‼ There were no utensils or napkins @ our table so we had to request them - usually the little can on the table holds them ... we gotta utensils but had to still ask for napkins‼ Mario was super nice & accomodating- great service‼ I got the veggie fajita & was pleased the flour tortillas were a smaller size but disappointed the small scoop of guacamole was not on the side dish amymore ‼ I alwaz take leftovers home & was surprised to revive a tiny container - it used to be a huge divided covered plastic takehome container

The service is great. There was a DJ on a Tuesday. Our drinks were on point and the food was delicious . The chips and salsa are by far the best !

Happy hour! Nuff said. But if you need more... Staff is great. Food and drink is worth the happy hour.

My family and I were in town to bring my son to UC Davis. We were staying at the Marriott Hotel next door to this Chevys. We were excited to have a Mexican food restaurant so close to the hotel we were staying at. However we quickly found out how big of a mistake it was to have dinner at this place. My family and I walked in. (5 of us) I wouldn't actually call it being greeted. We were asked how many in our party by a rude little tattooed hostess. Complete attitude from the moment we walked in. She said to us she would have to see if she had a table available for us. However the room directly to the left of the entrance was completely empty with only one couple sitting in there eating. The floor was completely filled with garbage and trash and food. There were probably 15 tables in that area and none of them had been cleaned. The rest of the staff were standing around the hostess table using foul language and joking with each other as if they were on the playground and not in a business establishment. No one in that place seems interested in seating customers. We were finally seated after about 15 minutes. The waiter took our order. We had pretty simple orders, tacos quesadillas etc. I also ordered a margarita. The waiter came back and told me that the bartender could not make a margarita for whatever reason he said the margarita machine was broken, I asked does the bartender have a blender. He basically told me no. 10 minutes later he shows up with this huge margarita that was absolutely horrible. The manager brought to my table and said that she made it a double which was an absolute joke it was nothing but ice and liquor. Did not taste anything like a margarita. I explain to the waiter that I could not drink it. Our food arrived. And it was completely un edible. The beans were completely water down. And the tacos were soggy. There was no way my family and I were going to eat the food that was on these plates. Also we weren't brought any silverware so I asked the passing waitress if we could get silverware and napkins and it happened to be the same tattooed hostess that sat us earlier, she brought silverware to the table and basically threw it at us. Needless to say and long story short. I explained to the manager that we would not be eating anything that was brought to our table and I would not be paying for anything. The waiter was nice about everything and I still tipped him $50 but I did not pay for any of the food. The service in this place was completely unacceptable the waiter did his best to accommodate the shortcomings of the restaurant I feel really bad because I did not get his name all I can say is he had a scar on his neck as if he had some type of surgery kudos to him he did a great job. I would never ever enter that place again to have dinner with my family. They have the most horrible service in the most horrible representation of a family restaurant I have ever seen. I would have to say the saddest part is they are directly across the street from a Marriott hotel which means they have a constant in flow of customers and revenue. It's a pity that they are in a gold mine location but the service and staff will destroy the ability of this restaurant to grow and be successful. Not to be rude the restaurant is simply ghetto and unacceptable.

Couldn't get service, sat in booth over 20 minutes than when I started to get up a waitress can over. Your restaurant wasn't busy and this poor service is unacceptable. I'm a huge fan of El Torino in the Lakewood mall and believe this Chevy could stand to get some training on how to treat guests

My friends & family have stopped going to Chevys for nearly 6 months, because of the rude service, long long waits, poor food prep & mgmt... Well my husband & I decided to try it again last night 5/11/18, and sorry to say its not any better, probably worse! First of all we waited for 45 mins for a table at 9 o'clock Friday night...while all patiosall side dining areas were closed..when we finally got a table in the bar, after we had requested & waited 45 mins for the dining room! So starving, we took the bar table, then proceeded to enjoy staring at bowls of salsa because they had run out of CHIPS..after 25 minutes of looking at salsa, but no way of eating it...I asked the manager if I had heard the waitress right "that Chevys was out of chips @ 9'o'clock on Friday night?" Thinking GARY the manager may offer something to maybe diffuse the building irritation and his answer to being out of chips was very simple..YEP WE SURE ARE, then walked away..soooooo..... To say the least I am done with Chevys permanently this time & I'll certainly be passing that onto my business associates, friends & family to do the same. But I would like to say our waiter ""Tatiana" was good...but the poor girl was waiting tables, listening to everyone asking for chips, which were not available & then running to the tortilla maker...She's a great server, if she wasn't being pulled to so many areas, She could spend a few extra seconds at each taxable. Thank you Tatiana for the hard work!

So it's my wife's Birthday and we wanted to celebrate it at Chevys along with 17 family members. When we got their, we were told that they couldn't seat us all together cuz we didn't call for reservation. We almost left but decided to speak with the manager. When she came ( Cynthia ), she decided to go ahead and seat us all. Everybody was happy since Chevys is the only restaurant we all can agree on. Cynthia was also our server and man was she on point. She was very friendly and she got every drinks and food fast. We really appreciated she took time off her schedule to help us....Thank You.

Came for happy hour. I didn't even know this Chevys existed. A few things I noticed upon arrival- I could literally count the number of cars in the massive parking lot on one hand. Entered establishment which is huge but looked empty given that it was happy hour and there were less than ten customers inside. Sat at the bar and Eric the bartender served us. The service was slow. Toward the end of the night I noticed a beer had been poured into a dirty glass. Given that the service was slow I waited for Eric to come check on us when he had time. He came after about 1 hour. When I mentioned that there was something floating in the beer, he said "you've been letting it sit here maybe a bug flew into it..." he hesitantly replaced the beer with a fresh one then said "come on in trying to go home." Side note was 830p- the place closes at 10p (which is also when happy hour ends and when Eric was off). Nonetheless, all of the above explains why this place was a ghost town during happy hour.
