Had D'Grobak when they were at the Presidio lawn and we were quite disappointed with their meatballs and rice combo. The meatballs were quite rubbery and tasted very little of anything.
Would give six stars if I could.
I’ve only ever had bakso from a street cart in Indonesia, paying just over $1 for it, squatting on the sidewalk on the side of the road. I’ve done this a few dozen times and know what I want so I’d set my expectations low - there’s no way some place in the US can meet those standards.
My goodness, this took me right back. I’m not Indonesian but this was dang good bakso. And the addition of the yung tofu in the signature dish is an INCREDIBLE twist. Will be following their account so I can get some more again.
Don’t miss out, if you’re on the fence, get their signature bakso now
First time trying Indonesian food. Maybe this is how it's supposed to be and I'm just not used to it. I ate at the food truck on the Presidio lawn. The "ribs" was one bone with some fat and grissel on it, at most a 1"x1" piece of actual meat (when I order ribs I expect the meat to run from one end of the bone to the other, not just an inch of meat on one end). The "meatballs" tasted like soy, gross. The noodles tasted like 20-cent bags of Top Ramen. The broth was good though. For $21.00 after tax, I was NOT impressed. I will try again elsewhere, but if this is how it's supposed to taste I won't be eating much Indonesian food.
As an Indonesian, I can testify that this place is legit.
My brother and I have a saying: "shut up, try this." It's usually used when the food is so good at the table that conversation has to pause.
These ribs changed my life. Getting the right balance of sweet and spicy sauces in the bone broth noodles was the highlight of my evening.
Had their food at a food truck in Oakland and it was amazing. Those ribs were A+ and the bone marrow soup was so hearty and tasty. Love love loved it
Tried their combo grill plate at the Presidio in SF. Never had Indonesian food before Easily one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life. Now I can't wait to try more!
This was so good! I got the short rib soup and was really impressed. I'll definitely hit them up again when they're back at the Presidio!
Excellent. The best of the best in restaurants. Very good. The best of Indonesian cuisine restaurant. I give it 5 stars in everything.
Ordered via IG and picked up in Pleasanton - delicious! Tastes authentic. Get the pangsit goreng

I finally got my first bakso (meatball) order today. Keep in mind even though they have a physical presence, you can't buy directly at the location. You need to tune in to their social media or their website to place the order. They deliver up to 30 miles from their location. I live just a bit more than the range, so my address is not eligible for delivery. The owner was kind enough to meet somewhere in the middle, closer to where I live, when they're making another delivery to another customer. The communication was smooth and pleasant, and everything went smoothly.
As the food itself, it definitely reminds me the taste of home. Given that there are not many Indonesian restaurants in the area, this definitely fulfill my craving of bakso. Everything was delicious and I can't wait to place another order from them in the future.
Belum pernah nemu bakso rasanya seenak bener2 kaya di Indo. Wort to try. Bersih, pas dimakan juga ketauan banget ingredients nya premium banget. Bukan bakso abal2 deh pokoknya. Try it yourself!
