I've been here with my partner a few times and it has always been a nice treat. The service and staff has always been super friendly and fast! I understand the QR code ordering can still be a shock to some, but I can say it has improved since the first time we've used it a few years back. It's fast, clear and I find it more convenient as I can always add to the order at anytime.
We were a party of 4 with one who only eats veggies. We ordered a split pot, premium beef combo, the big veggie combo, lotus, noodles, and fried tofu. The choices of broth are plenty. The mild, to me, is a bit spicier than usual so if you're not used to it, I suggest the normal broth and just add a little hot oil to your liking. That was perfect to start our table off. We added a couple of items later, but that was a good portion for 4 people. Lots of ingredients and broth choices. If you like more customization to your hot pot rather than an all you can eat business model, this place may be a better choice and in some cases, a better value.
After having been there more than a handful of times, I can safely say that I've never had a bad experience there. Always a great date night for me and my partner. With businesses coming and going in today's climate, I'm always happy to see this little corner spot in the mall still serving.
Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options ala carte! My partner is vegetarian. The problem with all you can eat business model is that she can't eat most of the stuff yet paying a premium price. This place offers ala carte so we can do a split pot. She orders the veggies for her side and i can eat the meats on my side. Works out for the both of us!

First time here at Hot Pot Nation. The food is great but menu lack details information. We didn’t know that the soup will come loaded with meats & salad ~ so we order extra portions and ended up having to take out.
Overall ~ food is great and amazing services. +1 for great variety of sauce condiments. -1 ⭐️ for fried quail egg… we never have quail egg that is both smell and chewy before…

We came to dine in here. Our total including tax was $296. Those guys added automatic service charge plus gratuity that together add like 41% i.e we ended up paying $112 more than our bill. Gratuity we love to pay but service charge plus gratuity that’s a rob. Hell no. That’s a rob. And we didn’t see a sign anywhere saying they add service charge on top of gratuity any where.
Customer service was pretty good, food came out quite fast. We ordered 3 different soup bases with different assortments of meat, noodles, and veggies. Staff was pretty nice.

Nice atmosphere. The mild soup (the red broth one) still comes out really spicy, even the server mentioned it was really spicy but i didnt think it was goin to be that bad. Alot of chiles in the pot. We didnt add msg buts its in there somewhere because my partner's msg allergy got triggered. The large pot is alot of broth for like 3-5 people. The miso broth didnt taste like it had miso. Dont order sauce, just get it up at the sauce station. What we cooked in the pot tasted good. but we both got the runs right after.

We chose the spicy mala soup and the Collagen Beauty Milk Pot for our hotpot. For the meat, we ordered the combo, which included Special Fatty Beef, Lamb Shoulder, Pork Belly, Pork Shoulder, and Thin Sliced Chicken Breast. While the milky soup had a decent flavor, the spicy base soup wasn’t as spicy as we expected, and the flavor of the soup base was a bit off. Despite ordering the spiciest version, it lacked the expected kick, so we had to create our own paste at the sauce bar. The overall quality of the meat was good, but for three people, the combo didn’t quite satisfy our appetites. We ended up ordering another meat combo with Special Fatty Beef, Marbled Beef, and Lamb Shoulder.
Additionally, it’s worth noting that they charge for sauces separately for each person.
It isn’t bad, but it leans toward the pricier side compared to other AYCE hotpot spots in the Bay Area.
Overall a great experience and the food was delicious.. nice and clean ..

15% service is charged on all orders. There is no server, you order on the app and the food is brought out to you. The meat is horrible quality, it’s embarrassing that they even serve it. Extremely stringy and it seems there is a lot of fat on the meat. We spent $100 including the service fee. We ordered a medium spice soup but trust me, that soup was more than hot. It’s intolerable because of how spicy it is. I would never in a million years recommend this place to anyone. The servers were rude, short with discussion and dismissive. Not welcoming at all, should’ve left when the restaurant was empty compared to the ones surrounding it. Either they need to train their employees on good service and provide better quality food for the price or just stop.

My gf & I had this $100 meal after over a decade. Waitress didn't mention the card to collect stamps and redeem for complementary combo plate.I saw it when I got home looking at their fine print on their business card.

This hotpot experience was below average, primarily due to the salty broth and the worst-quality beef I've ever encountered. With a price tag of $50 per person, it falls short of expectations. I wouldn't recommend it unless you find yourself with no other options. Plus, they don’t have side dish…..
Make sure to hit that condiment bar!! Makes all the difference between a good meal and a great one ? take risks, to eat this hotpot you must know yourself.

if you're looking for a solid late-night meal then hotpot nation is the spot to go in the east bay. their soup base options and variety in meat, veggies, seafood, and other ingredients available to choose from truly makes me feel like im in hot pot heaven. one thing id like to make a note on is the fact that i usually love eating my hot pot ingredients with sauces but with this spot their soup made each ingredient so flavorful/yummy i enjoyed it just as much without the sauces! what i also appreciate about this spot is how their service is more relaxed and laid back. however, if you need something there's a button at your table in which you can press so you can easily grab their attention which is so efficient. highly recommend for yall to check out this place with your friends and family!tips:- you can add different dividers/multiple soup bases in one big pot which allows you to share a fun meal with multiple people with different preferences- lots of parking available- lots of options for various food preferences- perfect for dates, friends, and family
I'd like to come more often. But it's a bit $$$.. the food and broth are good tho, and I can take home whatever I don't eat.
Vegetarian options: They have veggie and mushroom combos, good veggie broth as well...
