First time having a fried turkey for us. The Family loved it . Won't be our last . Thank you

Such a disappointment. An expensive turkey but if it had been good it would have been worth it. The turkey was horribly dry and flavorless. We tried to save it by drenching it in gravy but it was inedible. I felt embarrassed that I served this to my family. Our Thanksgiving meal was a real let down because of this turkey. The 2 stars are because they were polite and organized and had the turkey ready for pick up as planned. I'm sorry to have to leave a negative review for a small business but I wish I had been warned and didn't waste my money last year when it was too late to get an alternative.

Pre-order your deep-fried turkey, or you will miss out! The cost was $90 for a bird that fed 6 of us with plenty of leftovers. Customer service was excellent, thank you Philip & Kim. Good people. Good food. The turkey was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I'll definitely go back and try the other dishes like ham and sides :)

da Scene: I was actually Yelp!ing for Fried Chicken last weekend (and found Gus's in Oakland which was yummy!) when I stumbled upon Kim's... a smattering of web and social media presence, but the reviews I found were glowing. Good word of mouth, East Bay business, I'm intrigued !! I've always wanted to try fried turkey; came close a couple of times picking up the hardware, but never pulled the trigger. Seemed like they do most business on the holidays, but I took a chance and contacted them. They were happy to pull together a 8 person feast for us on short notice. It's gonna be Thanksgiving in February!! da Grub: Our order consisted of: - whole Louisiana Fried Turkey; well seasoned, fried crispy in the right spots and juicy where it should be. - Dirty Rice; really dirty, the meat to rice ratio was almost 1:1 (see pic) very tasty and hearty enough to stand alone as a main dish - Savory Yams; these were my FAVORITE, not classical "candied" yams which are always too sweet for me, and typically over-cooked. NOT THESE, they were cooked right, held their shape and were drenched in a sweet/savory sauce that paired perfectly which each bite of juicy turkey and crispy skin. - Roasted Brussel Sprouts; slightly caramelized, a little "twang", tender with no hint of bitter - you know these were lovingly long roasted. - Bread Pudding; The scent of this was wafting in the car all the way home, it's half-baked so you can finish it at home while eating your feast. I charred the top a bit and when it settled, it was belly warming, great finish with a dram of scotch I missed the cranberry sauce and gravy a bit... but it was a nice change of pace from our traditional Thanksgiving spread. We'll be eating leftovers for awhile, there was maybe 8-9 servings all told and the pan of Dirty Rice is gonna be several late nite snacks this weekend! da Service: I initially contacted via Yelp! messaging and they hit me back quickly, within minutes actually. Pivoted to txt and with a few clear communications, I had my order in and payment arrangements down. On pickup day, they hit me again as a reminder. Located 5 minutes off the 80, across the street from a park. Pulled in front and they brought out the whole feast dropped it in the trunk, easy parcheesi. Nice folks, good communications, great grub... I'm really happy my 1st foray into Fried Turkey was with Kim's... when ready for a southern style turkey feast, you'll be happy with these folks!!

Kim’s Fried Turkey and sides were excellent. Pick-up was easy. Turkey was perfectly cooked; collard greens had a kick. Turkey leftovers were used for snacking and soup. No mess. Will you do a Fried Turkey for Mardi Gras too?

We just want to say that Kim and Phillip did a great job for our Thanksgiving dinner. We will definitely be going back for their barbecue pork feast at Christmas can’t wait if it’s as good as Thanksgiving was it’s going to be a hit with the family.

There are no words that can express how fantastic Kim's fried turkey is. It is the best turkey we have ever had. There were no disappointed people at the Thanksgiving dinner. But what I really need to mention is that in addition to Kim's turkey we also brought home one of her deep fried hams. The deep fried ham is really off the chart as the best ham ever. We will never cook again. We will just tape Kim's business phone number on the side of our refrigerator. Thank you Kim and Phillip for a great Thanksgiving turkey and ham.
