This is our favorite Korean BBQ restaurant for the last 3 years. The BBQ Ribs and the Seafood Tofu soup are great. They usually serve with 7-8 types of kimchee on the side. usually cost us average $20 each person (food+tips)

My favorite place for the lunch special bento box. I go there every time it’s my birthday and it never disappoints me!

I always enjoy my food so much when I come here! The portions are huge and I always have left overs which means I get to enjoy it again for the second time! Don't be put off by the other reviews, I've always had great interactions with the servers here and the food is so tasty!

Back when the gf's parents suggested that we have lunch at Kimchee Tofu House for our first meeting together, I was a bit apprehensive after seeing all the less-than-stellar reviews. When we arrived around noon on a Sunday, the establishment itself was rather devoid of patrons, with only one other table dining in at the time. We were seated very promptly, and the waitress was very kind and attentive throughout our meal. The interior itself is actually quite spacious, with capacity to fill a pretty good amount of tables. And the decorations are very serene and peaceful, and certainly sets a nice, relaxing vibe for our meal. We went with a bento box, a pork ramen, and a rice cake ramen. The food itself was pretty good, and was very affordably priced. Either the portion sizes are fairly generous, or perhaps I just talked too much and neglected eating. But either way, we actually had plenty of leftovers afterwards to take home. Good food, great prices, friendly staff. Will most certainly be coming back here to grab lunch/dinner if I happen to be passing by!

Very clean and accessible spot. They provide big meals and for affordable rates. We loved the menu a lot and the staff members were very amiable and explanatory. Will definitely recommend this place.

we order a tofu soup combination, they came together with a hot plate BBQ ribs & a order of hot stone bowl bibimbap without meat (at some restaurant they came with a small bowl of soup but I didn't get soup today ) they both consider yummy, the little dishes was ok. yes, I recommended.

Everything was good, service was fine, nothing really stood out. I appreciate the healthier option of wild rice, the orange slice and a good amount of veggies.

I keep coming back and with friends, the Hot stone bowl is good news, chicken or beef or salmon, and the lunch curry chicken Ramen is my main choice. The spicy Beef soup , well today I had it because years ago I had it somewhere else and it was way to hot spicy for me, but here at Kimchee tofu house , they brought to me unspiced with the hot stuff on the side , so that was REALy the way to try it,, still I like the Chicken Curry Ramen the best. I get that one medium spice

Great spot for bibimbab and bento. So many good dishes to try including ramen, hot stone bowls, bento, kimchee specialties, and family style dishes. The banchan is always on point. Roomy with casual, friendly service. Lunch specials too.

Overall 3.5/5 -- rounded down because I didn't find there was anything particularly special about it! Wouldn't be opposed to coming back again, but mostly just if I happened to be in the area (wouldn't make the trek just for this). I think this place is probably more worth for lunch than dinner, as prices are a little cheaper & there are lunch specials. Post tax/tip for tofu soup came out to be ~$20, and for that price I feel like there are better Korean places in the East Bay. Admittedly the tofu soup itself wasn't bad -- flavor was pretty good, and the vegetarian one had mushroom in it as well! They also give you a free swap out for mixed grain rice as opposed to just regular rice. They crack the egg for you though in the soup, which made me kind of sad because that's one of my favorite parts & also because then it's harder for you to gauge how soft your egg is by the time you get to it (mine was starting to get a little hard around the edges, and I like it pretty soft). Not bad, but not Amazing in my personal experience! Service was nice & quick though.
