We’ve been coming to this place since I was a kid. Still the same people the work there and the same delicious food. I always get their fish cake, chow how fun, and how fun noodle soup, and try to stop by with my family whenever I’m in town.

I've been to Mi twice now, and both times the owner Ryan has been incredibly nice and offered outstanding suggestions on what to get. The food is fresh, prepared well, and has decent portions. Would absolutely recommend if one is craving noodle dishes. This will rapidly become a regular spot for pre night shift dinner!

Unfortunately, my experience was underwhelming. The portions were incredibly small, especially considering the prices they were charging. For the cost, I was expecting a much more generous serving, but I was left feeling still hungry after my meal. The food itself was fine, but nothing to write home about—it lacked flavor and didn't stand out in any way. I had hoped for a more exciting and satisfying dining experience especially as a teochew person, but it was pretty mediocre.

Fresh noodles! Base food isn't spicy but still has a good flavor. The variety of meats available means there's something for everyone.

Friendly staff, seems locally owned. Maybe family?

I've been a frequent visitor to the Teo Chew noodle place in Oakland, so I was really curious to try Mi. I had the original Teo Chew noodle soup, which comes with prawns, fish meatballs, pork meatballs, chicken, pork slices, minced pork, and pork kidney with vermicelli. We also tried their Pork Kidney noodle soup.

The soup base is clear and rich in flavor, and the texture of the noodles is spot on. The pork kidney was not overcooked and had a great texture. One notable difference compared to the place in Oakland Chinatown is that Mi adds fried minced garlic on top of the noodle soup, which I really liked as it brought an extra layer of flavor to the dish.

However, I understand why some people think it's a bit pricey. They are cash-only, and two bowls of noodle soup came to around $40 before tipping.

I ordered the ox tail chow fun for lunch. The price was high-$25 but I decided to splurge. I liked that the ox tails were cut small so you can easily eat them. A couple of them were cold inside unfortunately. There were not enough noodles considering how much gravy was on it. The taste was meh… not terrible but not worth $25. The service was very good. If I come back, I would try the soup noodles.

While wondering around the Ranch 99 Center we found Mi Restaurant. We came in and chatted with Ryan one of the owners. He was super nice and totally knows what vegan is and recommended the Singapore Style Stir-Fry. Awesome dish!!! He also explained the sauces on the table and 3 were vegan. We will definitely be back!

Back when I was in high school, this restaurant was called VH! And now their son Ryan moved back to keep it going as Mi with the same classic delicious noodles just like I remember. The “traditional” ho fun noodle soup is perfect if you want a large, nourishing homemade dish with a clear, flavorful broth. Thank you!

Ask for the recipet first before you pay. The lady that works there overcharges you. I paid $65+ for 3 small bowls of noodles. I wasnt even full. Do not go here.

Aromatic, flavorful noodles with lots of meat. Hits just the right spot. If you need a pick-me-up noodle place or just something delicious this is the one. I get their special.
