Since moving to the area, I have to say this has been the best restaurant that we have been to. Everything had so much flavor. The staff was so friendly and it was a clean, comfortable environment. This is definitely our new favorite place to eat.

While looking at the menu, I was pleased to see the low prices for the combination plates. The portions are smaller than other Mexican restaurants in town, so you get what you pay for, I guess. But, this will be my go to place when I'm not very hungry. Good food makes it a good value.

Presidents' Day seemed to offer a lot of closed restaurants but we found Olvera's open. The building is a little older and the initial space you enter seems odd but when we entered the seating area hope was restored! Music played and the booths were inviting to sit and enjoy a meal. The menu was full of tasty choices. We ordered fish tacos, hard tacos (1 chicken and 1beef) and a chili relleno burrito. All were very good! The service was excellent too! We will be going back to enjoy again.

The service was good, food was as the menu described it. Pretty chill cafe-style atmosphere.Kid-friendliness: Separate kids menu, good sized servings.

There are very few other restaurants that have such amazing food for such affordable prices! If I didn't know what spices and ingredients were, I'd say all the food was made of love and happiness!

I'm reminded of the TikTok song "white people taco night." Even though the staff are Mexican, and even though we're in California, the clientele are all old white people and the food frankly tastes like it. It's perfectly edible and fine, and the chile relleno had a nice spicy flavor, but the shredded cheese and crispy taco shell was not my favorite (though to be fair, the taco shell was quite fresh). Expect "East Coast quality" despite the location.

My favorite Mexican food place in town. Food is always good and the staff is amazing. It's a smaller restaurant that has a relaxed atmosphere. I will keep going back.

Great food, kind of a smaller place, so get there early. Great combination lunches or dinners.

We were lucky enough to get the last table at 6pm. Thoroughly enjoyed the Chile verde dinner special and the chicken mole. Both were stew-like consistency. Not authentic but tasty. Rice and beans were great. Chicken mole was a little sweet. The margarita was huge and strong; I think it was made from a mix though.

Great food at a reasonable price! Service is always with a smile and very responsive to the customer.

I ate the food but it wasn't very good. I was hungry. My meat was freezerburnt. Seasoning was really good though. Beans were watery and rice wasn't fluffy. I liked the vegetables and sauce better than the rest of the meal. Tortillas and chips, salsa, all tasted good. Disappointed by the main course. I won't come back here next time. The service was fine no complaints.
