Chicken mojos and roll were just top tier. I definitely recommend, order ahead because they fry to order.

The chicken really had no flavor. The heaviness of the grease made me feel bleh for hours. I was curious about this place for a long time and was disappointed. Very nice staff though just not for me though.

Finally went to Donahoo's in Riverside. Lived up to the hype! Fried chicken like mom's used to make, and the mojo's are off the chain (better than Shakey's). The thing that got me was it was cooked to order (I had to wait 25 minutes for my order) which was cool, because when I got home (a 30 minute drive), my food was still piping hot. Another thing was that before I placed my order I peeked behind the counter and saw cast-iron skillets. I said, "Ok, I'm rockin's with Donahoo's."

Decades late to the party! I've heard about Donahoo's when I was in high school and I never thought a humble building would have amazing food. The fried chicken here is one of the best I've had and the mojo potatoes here are by far the BEST potatoes I have ever had. You cannot really go wrong here. I tried the tenders here and it's also really good. The gizzard were good but can't really say I'd try them again. Overall I'd stick to the chicken and potatoes. The one thing I do like about this location is that you can call ahead of time which is better than the Pomona location. The food takes a while to make, usually 20-30 minutes. Parking in the front is pretty limited so I suggest parking in the Chinese restaurant right beside Donahoo's. Overall, an epic place for fried chicken and potatoes!

Tried this place for the first time today and I will never go back. The chicken was very salty my boyfriend ordered some gizzards and they were burnt and the mojo’s I did not like the breading or whatever they use on them. I would not recommend this place.

We have been going to Donahoo's since the early 70's and seen it go through many owners. I can honestly say that last week was a throwback to the 70's experience. Chicken cooked to crispy perfection, nice cold salad, crispy fries on the outside and soft on the inside, and huge rolls! The recipe is as close to original as they could be and I highly recommend this tiny hole-in-the-wall place for the best fried chicken in town. They also fry up fresh gizzards cooked when ordered. Be sure to order ahead or prepare to wait because all chicken is dropped when you order. It used to be a "cash only" until recently. They have finally advanced to taking electronic payment.

First and last time ordering food from here. The family order came with 20 rolls. We had ordered two family orders so a total of 40 rolls which were either burnt or undercooked and still raw. I called and by the owner I was told they are not that hard and I could still eat them. I was told I can be reimbursed for 3 of the burnt rolls which it was a total of $5 and some change. So out of 40 rolls none were edible I will only be reimbursed $5 and was told they are not that hard or burnt by the owner which she said she knew what they looked like and it was still ok to serve raw and undercooked or burnt. I will never be returning and will not recommend based on customer service

Used to love this spot. Went this Friday was so so good. Chicken, mojos, bread, all of it was on point. Loved it so much we decided to have it for Sunday dinner. What a big disappointment. The chicken was hard and the fried part was nasty and not good at all. It almost broke a tooth. I'm thinking it was old chicken and they just threw it back in the fryer. The mojos were falling apart. All in all it was straight up trash. Called in and the person on the other end just said maybe the fryer wasn't all the way hit. Lol. That was it. No, hey come back we will give you more exchange it. nothing just have a good night. Lol. Yeah I'll never go back. Donahoos owners better check yourself because I'm not letting this slide. Poor service fur people that supported you. Kick rocks. Highly not recommended.
